Baylor wounded up having a big family after all. I wasn't used to a big family - I only had my brother.
He has three cousins: Harley, Sean, and Colton. They all happened to be older than him: the youngest, Sean being three years older. Baylor has an uncle and an aunt. His mom's brother-in-law was hysterical as ever. His wife was a sweetheart, just like Mrs. Victoria.
"Adalynne, do you want cheese on your hamburger?" Mrs. Victoria asked while she patted one more hamburger stuffed with onions and peppers.
"No, thank you."
Harley, Mrs. Victoria and I stayed in and helped get the burgers patted and placed on the pan to be grilled. All the guys, who were twenty-one and up, excluding Baylor, were outside on the back patio drinking beers and were having a good conversation.
Harley was almost the height as Mrs. Victoria. She had a tall, slim figure, long brown hair and big green eyes. She was truly genuine, like all of Baylor's family.
"So Baylor made you spill your coffee on you? How rude," Harley spoke.
I cackled. "What a lovely way to meet."
She hummed. "I would've gotten a hot pot of coffee and poured it on him," she murmured under her breath.
"Harley!" Mrs. Victoria screeched and we burst into laughter.
"I'm glad he ran into you and made you spill coffee on yourself that morning at school. I mean, I know you both knew each other, well kinda. But think about it, Baylor wouldn't have brought a girl like you home to meet us."
I grinned.
"You're the first one he's brought here to meet us, and I'm thankful that he didn't hesitate to bring you here to meet us. He normally knows not to bring his past girlfriends to the dinner table for us to meet. But it was a pleasure to meet you," Harley said with a grin on her lips.
I smiled. "I've only been here for a day and I feel as if I'm a part of the family already."
"Oh, of course darling. Anyone that Baylor loves, I'll love you like you were my daughter-in-law."
That sparked a flame in me. What if I ever were to marry into this family? Become a Parker?
"You damn idiot," Colton shoved Sean in the shoulder. All three of us looked towards the back French doors and saw Colton and Sean walk in. I could tell they were a bit tipsy just by the way they stumbled in, and the way Sean took a little extra stumble by Colton's push.
"Why'd you invite her?" Just by him being a little tipsy, he whispered loudly and didn't realize we were sitting inside.
"'Cause I wanted her to meet the family," Sean spoke.
Colton cringed. "Dude, you can do so much better. You know they won't like her."
The way Sean looked at Colton made me feel pity for him. I've felt that before; as if Baylor's family wouldn't like me even though Mrs. Victoria has known me for the longest time. Maybe Sean really liked this girl, who knows.
"I like her," Sean shrugged his shoulders.
I looked at Harley and arched my eyebrows. "The only girl that was brought here to meet us was Colton's ex. Colton later found out that his mom and dad didn't like her, so Colton basically broke up with her because he didn't want to date a girl his family didn't approve of."
"I liked her. I thought she was very sweet," Mrs. Victoria whispered. "Oh, wait. That was one of Baylor's ex-girlfriends that Colton didn't know about."
