The first Lex POV of this book, guys! Why am I so excited!
Lex looked at his brother. Rex was playing with his fingers, popping his knuckles and tugging at his fingers.
"I'm not going to mention it unless you want me to, but if you ever need anything, I'll be there for you. Kay?" Lex said, wanting desperately to be able to help Rex out, but knowing he would probably make matters worse.
"Okay" Responded Rex quietly
"Now, while we wait for Bex, how about we play a quick game of splotch?" Lex asked, changing the subject
Rex gave him an odd look "With what?"
Lex opened his mouth to answer before he realized they didn't have anything to play with. After hunting around Bex's room for a little, he found a foam ball. Instead of splotching, however, they ended up playing catch with telekinesis, dropping the ball so often the started just lobbing the ball at each other.
So that was why when they heard Bex's thundering steps, the ball was forgotten, and both boys stood up.
And Lex didn't miss the flinch Rex made at the sound of Dex's voice.
