All Rex had registered was Bex storming out of the room she was never supposed to be in alone. I mean, What was she thinking? He was expecting that she would let them come with, but no.
And then ice pricked his skin, and all Rex could do was sag. This was the reason he wanted to go.
Go. It was a funny concept. With the ice freezing him over, all Rex could do was think. And think he did.
The appeal of leaving everything was strong, sucking him in. He thought of packing, the sense of finality it would give him, after so long.
He could feel the voice of reason telling him it was impossible, and he listened to it.
It was impossible.
But it was his own little reality, and he would enjoy every last part.
Suddenly, Rex realized what was going on outside.
