Getting noticed on Wattpad can be pretty difficult. Easy ways to get noticed are posting your books on profiles that are meant for advertising, but you'll probably think that it's not working.
So here are a few ways that helped me:
1. Read for read. Now don't just lazily skim read and vote on the chapters, the writer wants advice and reviews! Even if it's a simple comment on their works, writers really appreciate it.
2. Give good feedback on others works.
3. Use other social medias as advertising spots.
4. Post regularly. People don't want to wait forever for the next chapter (I'm guilty of this sometimes).
5. Reach out to less popular writers that don't have that many readers or writers. (This might not apply to everyone) but usually people with a lot of readers don't want to read yours just to get feedback or votes. Unpopular writers want more reads, comments, and followers, so they're more likely to do a genuine read for read.
6. Intriguing description, cover, title, chapter names (if you have them), and a good first sentence/scene that's sure to hook your readers.
7. Maybe start your description with a scene or dialogue from your book (expert) but don't let it give too much away. People get hooked a lot faster with this!
8. Join contests or find Critics to review your books.
