The sound of Aethers stomach rumbling is a reminder, a reminder that his dumbass woke up ten minutes before school and didn't get enough time to have breakfast.

Yeah, for an ordinary teenager, Aether's life sure isn't normal or peaceful.

"Shit, i'm 20 minutes late."

Aether runs up to his classroom door and knocks, waiting for the teacher to open it.

Once the door does open, Aethers bows his head to show his shame.

"I'm so sorry Mr Kaeya, I woke up late and i couldn't get to school on time and-"

Aether lifts his head when he hears the laughter of someone a little too familiar, not only realising his mistake, but also the unfortunate situation he put himself in.

"Oh my god, Miss Ningguang, I'm terribly sorry, i must have got my timetable messed up and came to the wrong class."

Yeah, Aether just made a fool of himself in front of Xiao, his bully, (And Xiao's entire class).

The class giggles while Miss Ningguang glares at them.

"It's fine Aether. Go to your class, the bell rung 30 minutes ago."

With one last embarassed look towards Xiao, Aether nods at the teacher and hurries off to his correct class.

During the entire lesson, the only thing Aether's mind can think of, is the amused and predatory smirk on Xiao's smug face.

Tch, hes such an ass...

Yeah, having a crush on the person who makes him the most miserable, probably isn't Aether's brightest moment.

Xiao makes him so ashamed to even live, yet so happy and lightheaded too.

The sweet smile on his face after he throws insult after insult at Aether, it makes it all worth it.

Lunch rolls around in no time, to most other teens, lunch is amazing! You get to chat and talk to your friends and eat yummy food! But for Aether, it's simply just another chance for Xiao to make his life hell.
