Don and Dick explore Dick's basement (It is creepy and full of boxes and who knows what else. It's dark and feels endless. They keep walking until they end up on the other side, where there's a staircase and a small door. They squeeze through and find themselves inside Don's house. It seems like the basement connects their two houses together. Since their houses are old, it is possible it was used as underground drug cartel, part of the Underground Railroad, or a shelter from disasters)

Don is over at Dick's house to help him clean out the basement per Don's request to help him. Dick welcomes him in, shows what he's done so far. Don finds a guitar and asks if Dick plays and if he can play a song now. Dick says he can but maybe later, they have a lot of work to do. Dick leads them to the basement and Don asks where the light switch is, to which Dick says "good question" and says he has no clue, he's been searching through the basement with a flashlight the past few hours. Don just stares at him, questioning why he isn't afraid of anything hiding in the darkness, to which Dick says if anything wanted to attack him, they are wusses for not doing so already. Maybe getting killed would save him from his responsibilities, and his body wouldn't be found until days later. It'd make the news and the cause of death would forever remain a mystery. A year or so later, investigators decide to scope out the place to see what happened. There, they clean out the basement for him and solve the mystery.

Don is amazed by how planned out that seemed to be, and Dick says he aspires to have the aesthetic of a dead body lying in an old, crumbling building in a field, the maggots and moths having feasted on his corpse until all that remained was a skeleton. Don says he has no idea what that means (as it is 2017 and "aesthetic" doesn't have the same meaning as now) but finds that very poetic, and moths aren't decomposers

Don grabs a flashlight from upstairs to help when he hears Dick scream downstairs. Don quickly rushes down but doesn't see his friend. He searches around but can't find him. Finally he calls out his name, but is met with silence. But then Dick jumps out from behind a wall of boxes and grabs Don from behind, screaming as he does so. This makes Don let out a scream and Dick laughs, dropping him and saying that was the funniest thing ever, if only he could've seen his face. Don is shaking and was really worried for a second, but he hides that by making a snide remark that is very see-through. Dick just keeps laughing, to which Don scoffs and says they need to move on to try and find the light switch somewhere.

The two walk through the basement, wondering what the purpose of it is to hold so many boxes. Dick wonders what secrets those boxes hold, as he had never really gone through the entire basement. He usually stopped at a point before being too freaked out and turning around. Don teases him there, asking if he was really that scared. Dick shoots back that Don screamed when Dick scared him, but Don says that's because it was a jump scare, jump scares can usually scare anyone and it doesn't take a lot of effort. If Dick is afraid of the ambiance of a dusty old, dark basement, then he's the wuss.

They continue through the basement. Something watches from a distance. The basement door has long since disappeared from view by now, and Don wonders aloud how far this basement goes. He looks for agreement in Dick but realize he's gone. Don stops, looking around and thinking Dick is about to pop out and scare him.

Then suddenly he hears Dick calling him from somewhere in the sea of boxes, telling him to come check out what he found. Don pauses and asks why he can't just come out and show him, they'll get lost if Don goes in there after him. Dick calls him a wuss and asks if he's too afraid to come in. Don gets annoyed and says fine, he's coming, but just then, Dick comes out from behind a wall of boxes directly opposite from where Don heard his voice come from earlier, and he tells Don to check out what he found. Don questions how he was able to throw his voice, was the place really that echoey, and Dick says he doesn't know what he is talking about, as he hadn't even heard Don call him.
