CHP 13. THE INCIDENT

" VIKTOR!!! "

Viktor was in the chambers of his lab late at night, yet again testing more of what the Shimmer can do to his body, either it is making it grow and become stronger or destroy him from the inside and out, Viktor will just have to see to know.

He scribbles down notes on his notebook and hastily leaves the pen down on the table. Grabbing the knife, he looks at the hexcore hesitantly.

"Viktor..! I've been working on a... private project for a couple of weeks now... mm no...", there goes Sky not realising she's talking to herself, it was quite cute, to be honest, she holds onto her blue notebook tightly as she recites the words she wants to say to him in her head, thinking it was about time she should confess to him, this whole crush thing has been going on for basically centuries!

He has to do this, or else he will never be able to get a glorious evolution before he dies, and he has to do this for Y/N... oh where could she be..? He went up to the tower last night. It was quite cold but the skies were clearer than any night that he has ever seen.

He stares up at the moon and imagines Y/N right beside him, he remembers the way he spoke for hours on end, on multiple subjects that sometimes he even found boring but he just had to escape from his mind for a while. He remembers the way when he realises Y/N wasn't there he had to change the subject very quickly as to not tear up and start to sob like the mess he is.

He goes to try and inject the Shimmer into his arm but realises there wasn't any left.

"Viktor. I-I've been working on this for a year now and...- hm..", Sky sighs softly, stray strands fell across her face as she tucks them back behind her ear, she shakes her head as she couldn't seem to find the right words that could describe how she feels for him. Oh, what would Y/N do in this situation..?

Sky was distraught over Y/N's disappearance, she remembers practically banging on her door trying to see if Y/N would get annoyed enough to open it so Sky could know that she was okay! She's fine... she's just fine and everything will be fine... but every time she left her house is every time her heart seemed to break more and more as time passes. The lab felt so empty without her there, she didn't have anyone to laugh with, she didn't have anyone she could express her feelings about Viktor to, if she didn't have Y/N, she didn't have anything.

But she knew how much Y/N wanted her to just tell Viktor how she feels and how much she loves him, but Sky could never find the courage to. But this time, Sky will make Y/N's advice come true and just come clean to him!

Sky puts the key into the door as it opens, she still had a nervous look on her face as she looks at the ground, still trying to find good words in her head.

Since Viktor had no Shimmer left, he was still going to try it without it. He slices up his hand, he didn't yell anymore, he was used to it. Small blood droplets fell to the ground.

"Viktor, I was hoping you could take a look at something that I've been working on".

Viktor stands up, all the markings he had put on his body, he no longer put them on his leg but his whole torso and arms.

"Viktor, I was inspired by your...", she sighs softly and smiles, looking down at the ground, "...everything you do inspires me". She takes a deep breath. And enters the chambers of the lab.
