Chapter 12

Xavier

"l wasn't disappointed because l saw you, l was just disappointed that Ellie is leaving" mom said looking at me sadly

"Don't be sad grandma daddy and l can come live with all of us together" my baby said smiling at me widely and my jaw dropped

l could see how everyone was looking at me with hopeful eyes but l wasn't going to give them satisfaction

"We are going home" l said to Ellie diverting the topic

As l was leaving l heard Madison speak

"When are we going to see her again"

"If it was up to me then never but she seems to care about you guys so l'll be leaving her here every morning this week because l have a lot of meetings" l said

"Thank you" Dad said and l just nodded and left

Ellie couldn't stop talking telling me about her day and l was honestly glad they seemed to love and care for her

The whole week it was easy to leave Ells behind and she didn't throw tantrums even though she cried , when she cried l also felt tears well in my eyes it was honestly heartbreaking seeing her crying out for me but l had to do it

l sighed as l entered my parents mansion after a long week of meetings l am exhausted but l could finally spend some time with my daughter and l was looking forward to it

As always my girl came rushing towards me and l kneeled down to her level and l scooping her in my arms

My family also joined us and l noticed that none of my siblings went to the office the whole week and they spent most of their time with Ells

"Thank you for everything but l'll be looking for a nanny for Ells and she won't be coming here " l said and l heard my father gasp and there were unshed tears in my mother's eyes

"l can take care of her, please don't take her away from me "mom said hurriedly but my mind was already made

"We just want to be a part of her life Xavier " said Dean

"Well she's my daughter ,a part of me and the last time l checked you all didn't want anything to do with me" l said rudely

"We'll apologies all our lives but please let us be a part of her life Xavier you should have seen how happy she was with us " Bryson said

"Please just stay with us for the weekend and if we mistreat her in any form then you can keep her away from us from us" he added

As much as l want to forgive my family for everything, l honestly can't but l am willing to let them be a part of my daughter's life
