Chapter 1

Xavier

It's been 7 years since l last spoke to my family and l miss them everyday even though they trusted a complete stranger over me their own flesh and blood everyday l ask myself the same question "Why"

I have 3 brothers who are namely
Bryson King 28 years old
Dean King 27 years old
Damian King 27years old and of course me and am 25 along with my sister who is 23

When l was 15 my uncle passed away but he had no heir so he left his restaurant to me and slowly the restaurant began to grow so when my family disowned me l focused on my restaurant only and now l have over 50 franchises around the world and am still thinking of explanding more

My life revolves around my work and honestly am kind of lonely because all l do is work up go to gym and then to work then home and then sleep and after that the cycle continues

I was pulled from my thoughts by a phone call

"Hello am l speaking to Xavier King"

"Yes and who's asking"

"Mr King am detective Conan O'Brien could you please come to the police station we have something of great importance to talk to you about"

"Ok am on my way officer"

My driver pulled on the police station and l got out and when l entered the station l asked for detective Conan O'Brien and they told me where to find him

I knocked on detective Conan's office and when l entered there was a man behind the desk who l assumed to be detective Conan and a elderly woman who introduced herself as a social worker

"Mr King l guess you must be wondering why l called you here"the detective said and l nodded gesturing him to continue

"Do you know anybody by the name Elena Parker" the detective said to me

The name sounded familiar but l wasn't sure where l had heard it

"No l don't"

"Mr King Elena Parker passed away 3hours ago in a car accident and she had a five year old daughter so we checked in our system to determine if the girl had any living relatives to take her in and we found a match" l listened carefully to the social worker but l still didn't understand how any of this was my business but l still told the social worker to continue

"Mr King the DNA results proved that you are Eleonora's father and surprisingly Eleonora's surname was already King"

I was shocked how could any of this be possible , how could l be a father

After 20 minutes of taking this whole information in l asked the detective to take me to her,l followed him to room

When l entered l saw the most beautiful tiny girl who was curled into a ball and l moved towards her and when she saw me she grasped

"Daddy" l think my heart skipped a beat when she said that ,l was happy that she acknowledged me as her father

"How" l said not believing what l was heard

"Mommy showed me pictures from the news papers"

"Daddy promise me you won't leave me like mommy did please daddy"she looked at me with a pained expression and l pulled her into a hug until she started snoring which showed she had fast asleep

"Now it's you and me against the world baby "l promise l'll always be here to protect you baby l vowed as l looked at my baby girl

I left the police station with Elly in my arms and my driver drove us back to my mansion and when l entered l went straight to my room and put Elly to sleep in my bed while l continued to do my work on the bed beside Elly because l didn't want to leave her alone

After l finished my work l went to bed and cuddled with Ellie and  l owed all this to one person

I don't remember you Elena but thank you for giving me the best gift anybody could ever ask for
