"Older brother!" Ming Xia whispered between the gaps that could carry her voice for Julong to hear. Her brother was being held in a punishment pagoda. she crouched because the hole was exactly thirty centimeters above the ground.
The man that she called out gasped. He crept towards the voice and asked in a deep voice, "Ming Xia, is that you?"
"Brother," Ming Xia sobbed.
"You've finally come too. Did you manage to marry Dong Hua Dijun? Talk to him to free me from here. That monster always tortures me if I stand up."
"Brother, I am not married to him. I am married to the crown prince, Ye Hua."
Julong frowned. "Crown prince?"
"Yeah, I..." Ming Xia rubbed her belly. "I'm carrying his child."

She walked back, crept towards the concubine's palace where she was occupying. It was still dawn. She woke up and felt the urge to see her brother again so she went to the pagoda where Julong was locked up.
Every time she went there, there was only the sound of fighting from within. She was never able to talk to her older brother and concluded that her brother was suffering eternal punishment by fighting the monster guarding the pagoda. She felt concerned about her brother's fate and asked Lady Lexu for help to free her brother. Lady Lexu said that only Dong Hua Dijun and Dihou could free her brother because he had offended Dijun and Dihou.
