The Raven Legacy

CHAPTER 2

The next  morning I woke up and got ready for school.  No words were said at the table while we were eating breakfast.  I was still mad at my parents so I called my best friend and asked if I could catch a ride with her.  She didn't live very far from me so it wasn't going to be a problem.

I put the kneeguard on like the doctor said.  He said it would help with the pain. I took a few painkillers and put them in my school blazer.  Once that was done I went outside to wait for her.  My mother, well Diana,  looked at me with teary eyes as I past her.

I had a blank expression on my face when I got in Tiana's car.  She could sense  something was wrong but didn't say anything for which I was thankful. 

The car ride was silent as I watched the houses pass us by. Tiana put  a CD on to break the silence.  It was Bring me the horison.  I loved this band.

* Save me from the ones

that haunt me in the

night.  I can't live with myself

so stay with me tonight

Don't go.. ...*

I just listened to the songs lyrics as we came close to the school's gate. 

When we got to school I went straight to my locker instead of going to my friends. I just wanted to be alone for awhile.

On my way to homeroom I remembered that I had maths homework that I completely forgot about. Oh well. More things to worry about. 

Fortunately for me Miss Barkley didn't check our homework, because she was too busy lecturing us on how important Friday's  test will be. I tuned her out in the first few minutes of the lecture. 

Last nights events kept replaying inside my mind.  So I met my real father and sister,  who looked kind,  but I didn't meet my real mother. At the thought of her I got a weird burning sensation in my right wrist and over my entire back.  But as fast as it came it disappeared.

I was so in thought that I didn't realize that it was lunch time already.  I took my time in walking over to our spot under the big tree in front of the school. 

When I got there I saw Tiana and Melany with excited expressions on their faces. If knew those two they either did a prank on someone (poor fella) or they were planing a party. If anyone looked at our group they would probably think were crazy, maybe we are,  but life would be dull without them.

Once they saw me Tiana and Mel ran towards me crushing me in a bear hug. While trying to regain my balance the pain started in my knee again.  I guess the painkillers are starting to wear off.  Joy.

I tried not to show it to them.
"Sam we've got something to tell you! " Tiana yelled at me while hugging  me tightly. Thankfully Melany already let go.

"Tiana  I   can't   breath. Let go woman! " I yelled at her but a smile edged its way o n my face. No matter how sad I was they would always find a way to make me smile whether they knew it or not. 

She let me go and took my one arm while Melany took the other one, both dragging me to where the others were. Melany was taller than me,  almost towering over me.  She has dark  blond hair with chocolate brown eyes. Tiana was the same height as Mr with dark brown hair.  She also had brown eyes just lighter than Melany's.

"So who did you guys prank this time?" I asked turning to Melany and Tiana when they  both have me a innocent look.

"How could you accuse us of such a thing, Sam.  That really hurts. " Tiana said putting her hand over her heart and faking a sad expression. They both turned to each other after a few seconds and burst with laughter.  After a while the whole group laughed with them.

"No we didn't prank anyone this time." Melany told me after the laughter had died down .

We've decided that since we have our last test  on Friday that we should throw a party. Are you in? Tiana said not only to me but to the whole group.  I knew that the question was directed at everybody but me.  They were mad when I missed the last one so I had no choice in the matter.

"Hmm I don't know. " I said teasing them a bit.

"You have no say in this Sam.  You're going even if I have to drag you kicking and screaming from your house. "

My smile dropped at the thought of home. A heavy weight suddenly fell on my chest.  The bell rang signaling the end of lunch.  Tiana looked at me with worried eyes before   we walked together  to our next class. History.

The rest of the day past in a blur. When I got home I went straight to my room, had no interest in food.

For the rest of the week when I came home from school I went to my room to study for Friday's  test.   The rest of the time that I didn't study I pretty much drowned out the world with music.

Maybe after the party I will talk to my parents. They might not be  my real parents but they were there when my real family wasn't and that's something I can't forget.  I still loved them and hope that were able to sort things out  so that everything will go back to normal.

I just didn't know how wrong I truly was about that.

So here chapter two hope you guys liked it. The next chapter will be about the party. I will put in as much detail as I can so  you guys could picture it.
