"Claws up! Teeth ready! Fight!"
Pitaya immediately lunged at Hollyberry, who shielded herself with her wing. The SkyWing fell backwards, before quickly leaping onto his feat and trying again. This time Hollyberry threw sand into his eyes, and once more he fell back hissing.
"Stop trying to kill me!" The MudWing yelled, "It doesn't have to be like this!"
"Yesss it doesss!" Pitaya cried out, lunging at Hollyberry and failing again, "Dragonsss kill each other all the time, you and me are not different! We're both killersss"
"No we're not!" Hollyberry argued, leaping onto Pitaya and pinning him down, "What you said about dragons killing each other is true, but we don't have to be like that. We can be different!"
Pitaya looked into her eyes, and she could tell the guilt of all he had done was eating him alive.
"Just take my hand, and we can figure out a way to leave this place, together!" Hollyberry offered, extending a talon out to the SkyWing, who she was no longer pinning down.
From atop her platform, Queen Scarlet yawned, "When is something interesting going to happen?"
"Right now!" A usually soft, familiar voice hissed.
Hollyberry looked up. It was White Lily, her scales shifting into an angry red. She opened her mouth, and much to everyone's surprise, shot a deadly black venom out of her fangs. It was directed at Burn, but the SandWing pulled Queen Scarlet in front of her like a shield. The RainWing's venom hit Scarlet's face with a sizzling sound, and then a bloodcurdling scream tore out of the SkyWing's throat.
The arena was chaos. Every dragon began flying away, screaming about Queen Scarlet's face. Burn had fled as soon as the venom had hit the SkyWing Queen's face, and Scarlet was escorted away by guards. Within moments the arena had become empty. Only Pitaya, Pure Vanilla, Golden Cheese, White Lily and Hollyberry remained.
"Come on, we have to get out of here." White Lily told them.
"How did you do that?" Pure Vanilla asked.
The RainWing shrugged, "I'm not really sure, but I guess I have venomous fangs now?"
"I thought you were too busy sleeping to do anything." Golden Cheese spoke up.
"That's what I wanted the Queen to think." White Lily explained, "Now we need to leave this place."
"Wait!" Pitaya called out, "I can help with your chains." And so he did, burning off all of their chains and wing clamps until they were all freed.
"Thank you." Hollyberry said, "We have to save Kestrel and Peril now, you should come with us."
Pitaya smiled, "Okay."
Golden Cheese mumbled something under her breath about Kestrel, and the five dragonets took flight, staying low as they headed towards the prison tower the two SkyWings were being held captive in. Once they arrived, Pitaya burnt a hole in the bars, and the dragonets entered.
"We've come to save you against our better judgement!" Golden Cheese announced with fake enthusiasm.
Pitaya burnt the chains that restricted Kestrel and Peril.
Peril's smile widened, "I knew you'd come save us. There was no way you'd let that tyrant of a Queen kill us!"
"You dragonets are fools." Kestrel hissed, "You could be far away from the sky kingdom by now."
"You're welcome." Hollyberry stated, "Let's talk somewhere else, somewhere no guards who haven't heard the news will find us."
They did just that, flying way together until they reached a river. It was still in the Sky Kingdom but a fair distance away from the palace. No one would look for them there. Hollyberry landed by the riverbank, and the other dragons did too. Pure Vanilla seemed to enjoy the soft sand by the water, although it was a bit wet and muddy.
