Never forgetting

Charlotte's POV

"Actually, I need to talk to you about that." Ast said, looking into my eyes.

"Do want us to go, bruv?" Reesh asked.

"No, you lot need to hear this as well. I'm moving to LA for a while to write songs and record a few things." he said, his smile fading while he was talking.

"What?" I said, tears leaving my eyes again.

"And I need to talk to you, Charlotte, in private." he must have been serious. Ever since we've known each other he has never called me Charlotte, always Charlie. Marv, Jay and Reesh left and it was just us two.

"So..."

"I don't think we can do this, especially while I'm in LA." he sighed.

"What? Your dumping me? After everything we've been through? After 9 years together?" I burst out crying. I am going to be all alone. If Aston moves to LA and, obviously, Marvin is married, I'm going to have nowhere to live, I have no one.

"I'm sorry. I do love you but I don't think our relationship will work as we are far away from each other." Aston explained, tears in his eyes.

"How long will you be there for?" I asked, standing up and turning away from Aston. I didn't want to look at him as it would make me cry even more.

"A few... months." he stuttered.

"Oh." I have never felt as sad as I did at that moment. My fear of being all alone is becoming reality.

"Babe, I love you. I just don't think a long distance relationship would work." he said as he came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders. I pushed them off, got my coat and walked to the door as Aston followed me.

"Bye Aston." I said as I kissed his cheek.

"Wait, I haven't finished."

"I think you've said enough." I hissed. "I have nowhere to live, no one to talk to or anyone I can trust."

"If you'd let me finish I was going to say that you can keep our flat, I will pay for it, so you have somewhere to stay. Marv, Jay and Reesh said they would come and visit."

"Aw, thanks Aston. What about when you come back?"

"I don't know when I'll come back but probably after a few months. I'm going to find a house when I come back. I will visit you as soon as I get back and I'll text you everyday. I promise." Aston whispered, hugging me.

"I love you." I whispered as a tear fell down my cheek.

"I love you too." he whispered back. We shared one last kiss and I walked back to the door.

"Bye Aston." I walked down the studio hallway and started crying again.

I got home and walked around the flat that I had shared with Marv and Ast. Well, just Ast since Marv found a place with Rochelle. I sighed as I looked at the pictures of Ast, Marv, Jay, Reesh and Lily. Small tears found their way down my cheeks and I wiped them away.

I decided to go to the coffee shop around the corner to think over everything that has happened and what is going to happen.

I sat down and ordered a hot chocolate and looked through my phone when I got a text from 'Asty 😍'. I sighed at the contact name and read the text.

From Asty 😍: I'm so sorry. I love you, don't ever forget me becoz I won't forget u. Axx

Before replying I changed the contact name to 'Aston😔' as it explained my feelings towards him leaving and us breaking up.

To Aston😔: I love you too and I will never ever forget you. U have been there for me and been my only boyfriend for 9 years and was there for me when I had no one. Hav a gr8 time in LA. Cya soon xx

I will never forget the laughs we've had and the feelings we shared for each other and I will never love anyone in the same way. Aston Merrygold, my primary school, high school and always will and always is my first and only love.
