Chapter 1 Craving

No one's pov
We see a 13 year old boy with burgundy tipped hair walking down the mountain.

"I can't wait for later I'm going to sell our coal and have a nice dinner for everyone." He said to no one in particular.

'I have a bad felling though... it's probably nothing I'm just a bit anxious.' He thought as he reached the town.

"Hey does anyone need coal."

"I'll take some Tanjiro!"

"Hey can you help me with our door."

The townspeople seemed to like the boy called Tanjiro as he was very helpful and very kind. No one would expect what was coming that night.

Time skip.....

Tanjiro pov

'I got done earlier that expected I should probably take my time since it is getting dark out.'

As I was walking Mr.Saburo asked if I wanted to stay the night.

"Just be careful Tanjiro there are man eating demons out there."

"Thank you for the offer but I want to get home." I said bowing.

"Just be careful."

I continued on the path.

A few minutes later I then heard rustling from the bushes.

"Hello is someone there?"

I saw a man with red eyes and then it went black. 'Gahhh! Why is my body burning! It hurt so much!' I woke up and there where tears coming from my eyes.

"What happened. Was that a dream did I lose consciousness."

'What is that smell. It smells..... delicious.' There was saliva coming out of my mouth. "I must be hungry."
'Well I can eat when I get home.'
I continued up the path but that delicious smell was getting stronger and stronger.

"Mom must be cooking....wait.....t-this smell is blood. I couldn't realize it before wh-why did it smell so good! What's happened to my family! What's wrong with me!"

I sprinted up the rest of the way hoping nothing bad happened to everyone. When I got to our house I saw Nezuko laying with her arm around Rokuta.

"Ahhhhh" I ran over to her.

"Nezuko! What's wrong what happened!"

I turned my head to see everyone dead.

'Mom, Hanako, Takeo, Shigeru, Rokuta, Nezuko. Blood, blood, blood there was blood everywhere.'
At the sight of this I thought that it smelled good.

'Stop Tanjiro you need to make sure if any of them are still alive.' I had a pained look on my face as I was having a hard time controlling my hunger.

"She's still warm!" I picked her up and started running down the mountain. "Hang in there nezuko I'll get you to a doctor just hang on!"

She started to move and then we where thrown off a cliff. 'The snow broke my fall. Wait where Nezuko!" I looked around to see Nezuko standing there. "Don't move I can get you down to the doctors they can get you better!"

She jumped on me. Why is she attacking? She's a demon! "I'm sorry! Nezuko stay strong you'll be alright just please don't give in!" She then got bigger and stronger. But she... she started to cry. I saw a man run at her I grabbed her throat and got her out of the way causing him to chop of my long hair.

"What are you doing protecting it." The man said

"She's my sister!"

"You think that thing is your sister."

He came at me I tried to shield her but then she was gone.

"Nezuko!"

"Don't even move from there. I am a demon slayer and as one it is my job to slay each and every demon I find. I going to have to decapitate you sister."

"Wait please she hasn't hurt anyone!"
"I don't know what happened but she would never eat anyone!"

"If I hadn't gotten here at the time I did she would have eaten you."

"That's not true she knows I'm her big brother I would never let her hurt anyone!"
"I'll change her back!"

"She can't be cured. Once your a demon you can't turn back."

"I'll find one! I'll, do anything whatever it takes! So please don't kill her don't kill my little sister!"

He put the sword to her neck.

"No please!"
I got down on my knees. And I begged him not to kill her.

"Don't give your enemy's the chance to attack why didn't you swing your hatchet those mistakes let to me catching her!"
He stabbed her. He stabbed her!

"Don't touch her!"

Giyuu pov

"Don't touch her!"

His eyes became red and his pupils turned into slits. Was he a demon why didn't I notice before!

The boy threw a rock at me and ran behind the trees. He the charged at me his eyes where normal was I imagining that? 'Letting your emotions cloud your judgment.'

"You are a fool!" I hit him with the handle of my sword because I was not sure whether or not he was a demon.

'Wait where's the hatchet.'

I looked up and moved my head as the hatchet just missed me.

'Just before he went behind the tree. His whole plan was to bring me down after I knocked him out.'

During this moment of surprise I let my guard down and the demon broke out and went after him. But she didn't eat him she was protecting him.

'There's no doubt about it she must be starving right now but she protected him and turned her attention to me.'

She came after me and I knocked her out.

(Hello everyone it's the author here I wanted to say that the art that is used is not mine and nor are the characters and some of the plot. The dialog is based off of the anime as well as events in the story. The next part will be longer sorry bout that. That's all bye bye)
