On Tatoonie, Qui-Gon and Kenobi discovered a slave boy strong with the force. Believing he is the Chosen One, they took him with them. Named Anakin Skywalker, he won a pod race and thus won a hyperdrive and his freedom in a bet.
As they were boarding their ship, Darth Maul, Darth Sidous' Apprentice, attacked them. Qui-Gon successfully defended them and they escaped the Sith Lord. They now must warn the Senate and the Jedi Order of the federation and the Sith.
