The flowers were still blooming until fall. There were rows of sunflowers and bushes of japanese anemone. On the side, there were newly planted roses too. I don't know much about flowers, but I remember the ones that my mom liked.
Everybody was busy in their own worlds. Lali and Jungwon were taking pictures of each other with their shared polaroid. I also caught Cheonsa taking pictures of everyone candidly.
I hope I look good in those pictures. I don't want her to use it against me later!
"I didn't disappear," Heeseung appeared in front of me, "that means, this was the flower farm that I visited when I was a child."
Wait, I almost forgot the reason why I came here! Right. I was going to help him relieve some of his memories about this place that could lead us to his family or his death.
"Alright, Sherlock. Where do we start? Do you remember anything about this place besides the sunflowers?"
"Why am I playing Sherlock? Shouldn't it be you?" as he chuckled, his eyes turned into crescents, "I'll be your assistant."
"No no! You're not my assistant. You are my client since I'm helping you." I crossed my arms above my chest.
"But I wanted to be your assistant. You're boss Saeji now." Heeseung suddenly stopped talking and pointed at something behind me.
"Sae? Are you talking to the freaking air."
The voice sent a warning signal to my brain causing me to turn around. There, I saw Seoji standing behind me with her eyebrows raised. She stood awkwardly in her spot and laughed nervously. She heard me shit this is awkward.
I can't tell her the truth. I mean she knows about Heeseung but wouldn't it be weird?
"Is he really here with us? It must be him right?"
"I know she'll think you're lying either way. Might as well tell her the truth. The question is, will she believe you?" says Heeseung. Right. Heeseung doesn't know that I told Seoji about him already.
"No I'm just talking to myself."
I decided to lie to Seoji. It's not like I didn't trust her tho, it's just because I didn't want to freak her out and ruin this day for her. I mean I'm totally fine hanging out with Heeseung and he's a ghost but Seoji might not take this information well.
"Okay, I'll believe you," She gave me a skeptical look before turning away and telling me she'll be right back.
"If I was your friend, I wouldn't believe you. Your reason wasn't convincing," I turned around to look at Heeseung. I just know that he's making fun of me! "You need acting lessons."
"This-yah are you making fun of me right now?" he stepped back when I tried to grab him, "Don't move away. It's not like I can touch you anyway!"
I'm swatting the air.
"Saeji you're gonna get cold hands. Why didn't you wear a longer jacket? Or gloves?" he said while moving away from me.
"Well, I didn't expect the temperature to be like this. It's usually not that cold during fall," I saw Seoji looking at me from meters away, "I totally forgot about them."
"This situation would've been easier if we had telepathic abilities or something," he sighs, "so what's the plan?"
"I have prepared a list of the things that we can do for today," I took out a piece of folded paper in my pants' pocket and showed it to him, "as you can see, the first one was crossed out."
