"Did you guys study?"
"For what? Wait, don't tell me we have a quiz today?"
"But it's the last period anyway it's fine if we don't study hahaha!"
Today was just like any other day. It's just the five of them, including Sunoo, stressing over the upcoming quiz that we had no idea what's it going to be about.
"Hey, Saeji! Did you study?"
"I did... n't?"
I was too preoccupied by the conversation I had with Heeseung last week that I didn't even get a wink of sleep, thinking that he might actually just disappear without even telling me.
But just this morning, he appeared outside of my bedroom window. He's smiling like always, even telling me jokes and teasing me. I worried over nothing, but I was so relieved to see him.
He was gone for a day, who wouldn't be worried?
"I don't understand physics!"
"Mathematics alone is a pain in the ass and now someone decided to mix it with science please."
I quietly read my notes and repeatedly skimmed through it but I can't focus. Something else is on my mind. I just wanted to go home for today and lay down on my bed.
That comfortable bed.
I heard a knock on the window. I checked who it was and saw Sunghoon standing outside with a carton of milk on his hand. I didn't know who he was calling so I pointed my finger to myself and asked if he was calling me. He nodded and walked towards the door. I stood up and followed him outside.
"Hey, Hoon! What brings you here?"
"I'm visiting my friend, is that bad?"
"Which friend?" I crossed my arms as I joke around him, "Sunoo or me?"
"Well, he's my friend too but I came here to give this," he showed me the carton of milk that he brought, "to you. It's yours."
I took it from his hand and said my thanks.
"Ooh it's cold, thanks! Wow, you still know what I liked aww!"
I prefer my drinks served cold. Sunghoon knows about some of my preferences since we were so close when we were highschool freshmen. We were in the same class back then, but now he's next door. We're in different classrooms.
"Are you free after class?" he asks.
I stopped for a moment and thought about the things to do later. I have a few homeworks to do but they're easy to do. I'll take care of it later.
"Hmm, yeah? I don't think I have plans this afternoon. Why?"
He dips both of his hands inside his pockets and looks around us before looking back at me. He looked nervous.
"Mom told me to buy new clothes because we're having a visitor next week," he sheepishly smiled before covering his face in embarrassment, "she didn't even tell me what style should I go for."
So he was asking me to help him pick clothes for an occasion or something? But wait, I'm bad at picking clothes!
"O-oh uh, alright I'll come with you!" I smiled and reassured him even though I'm as nervous as him right at this moment, "Honestly, your usual style is cool. Anything looks good on you since you're tall and handsome. But it depends on the occasion, right?"
His ears got redder, he stopped for a moment and smiled. Does he get shy whenever someone gives him a compliment?
"We're just having dinner with a family friend in our house."
