I never saw it coming
No
I don't suppose I would.
With the troubles and trials
It's hard to see light.
But that's what you are:
A light in all this darkness,
A friend in a sea of enemies,
A song in the deafening silence.
It's hard, you know,
To cling to one friend
To expect them to be there
But not want to intrude.
I hope I don't
Because I need a friend like you.
Because I need a friend.
