Chapter 24

Celine's pov

"Good! Make sure you drain all his money and he will have no other choice than accepting the deal" i said over the phone to the other person on the line before hanging off the phone.

I was in the office ready for my meeting in a few minutes to go. I sighed and walked out of my office and headed to the conference room.

My phone beeped and I checked the message it was Donald. He asked me for lunch laters and i told him okay.

Everyone was already seated by the time i reached the conference room. They greeted me and i waved at them before i sat down on the vacant chair at the front which was facing everyone.

Donald's pov

"So How was your meeting?" I asked Celine who was beside me as we ate the food in silence.

"It was great actually i have a new project soon. But i am so stressed about it" she sighed sadly. I grabbed her hand in the table and kissed it.

"I may not know what you are up against but one thing is for sure, you are going to do very fine i believe in you". She smiled at me and caressed my arm.

"Thank you for the encouragement I really needed it" she chuckled.

"I am always here for you and you know that". She smiled and nodded.

"So go on and eat your food its getting cold and it wont be healthy" she gasped and nodded.

"You are right" she said and began digging on her food while i watched her happily.

"Can i ask you something?" She asked when i was driving her back to her office after the lunch we just had.

"Yes?" I responded and kissed her hand while driving with the other.

"What is your plan on getting back your father's company?" Her question shocked me and i had no answer to it. I just sighed deeply and focused on the road before finding the right words to say.

"Love, i know how much the company means so much to you. I saw how hard you worked back then. You barely rested because of it, you may have your own company now and its doing wonders but that is still your family company" she stated making me smile.

I faced her and she gave me a sympathetic look "You know love, the moment i left the company i was devastated because of you leaving me and I couldn't put my mind into focus anymore, i was very miserable indeed...but that made me more determined later to thought of starting another company and all of that was to prove to my dad that i could also do it on my own without his help or him being under my shadows"

"And you did it. I am so proud of you my love" she said and leaned her head on my arm.

"Thank you so much" i replied and kissed her forehead. She chuckled making me chuckle too.

"You know what? Make Adam pay for everything he did to you and your father dont let him slip through" i was shocked to hear her saying that because the last time i checked, she was so naive and innocent.

"What happened to my naive Celine i met on the road searching for dog?" I stated recalling the day i first met her. She laughed so hard about that.

"Well... she died sorry" she teased me.

"Ouch! I miss her" i pretended to be so hurt.

After dropping her i went home to fetch nanny Carmen. I wanted to surprise her on meeting Celine. I lied to her that i am taking her for dinner and she bought the lie. I also told Celine i would come later to her mansion for dinner with him and Ace.
