Four days have past since mine and Dimitri's engagement. I didn't like this feeling. At least Dimitri is respectful.
Tuesday afternoon I was sitting in home room reading. "Hey," a girl came up to me.
"Hello" I greeted.
She was fidgeting with her hands.
"Is it umm," she paused, "is it true that you are uhh," she paused again, she didn't seem to want to finish her sentence.
"Engaged?"
My eyes widened. News travels fast I see.
Pushing all my shock down.
"Yes," I responded, "I am engaged," faking a smile.
It took everything in me not to make a face.
Her demeanor saddened.
"Why do you ask?" My curiosity peaked.
"Well umm." She looked me in my eyes, I could tell what she meant.
I saddened with her. "I like you" she admitted quietly.
My cheeks started to heat up.
Holy shit.
A girl.
Likes me?
"Oh...I like you too," I fixed my posture.
The girls eyes widened bigger than anything.
"As a friend of course, I love girls," smiling, making it obvious that I knew what she meant but was covering for her just encase.
It's not a lie though. I do love girls.
"Yes," she saddened again, "as a friend."
"I thought you were going to tell me you were in love with Dimitri" I admitted.
Motioning towards her to come down to me so I could talk to her.
"Y-you're just the first person to actually tell me." I felt my whole body temperature heat up.
"Really?" Her whole expression changed. "There's countless of girls talking about how gorgeous you are and how they wished they were a man to propose to you," she quieted down, "myself included."
"Why would you say that!" I playfully took offense, "you're a very pretty girl" I grabbed her hand, "boys are gross. Your pretty face would be a waste as a boy."
"Y/n!" Dimitri barged in, "we need to go," he grabbed my things, packing them up nicely he grabbed my arm.
What the hell is he doing in my class?!
In my school.
Boys aren't allowed here. Like...at ALL.
How'd he get in here.
"Here" he handed me my coat.
"What's going on?" I asked as he rushed me out the door.
"Stop flirting with girls," he angrily whispered to me.
I lightly smiled.
"I wasn't flirting," smiling I let Dimitri take us wherever, "I was being nice to her."
"It seemed like more than that" he brought us outside, where a car was waiting for us.
"God damn Dimitri why are you so upset? I can't compliment other girls?" I yelled, "Get off me," I pushed his hand off my arm. "It's not like I'm going to do anything especially when I'm engaged to a fucking idiot!" I screamed and got into the car.
Men are just so UGH. Aggravating.
They can't do anything right.
"Y/n" he got into the car, "calm down" he said.
"Take me home" I demanded.
"Y/n please I just-" "I don't care just take me home" I interrupted him and his stupid excuse. "I wish we never have gotten engaged."
Every second of my life now I dread.
I wouldn't have minded getting married, in my own time.
With the person I've dreamed for.
"Yeah whatever you aren't worth the fight right now" he angrily answered.
"You started it you jealous little bitch," I scoffed.
"But you're continuing it," he turned to me.
"And I'll keep it up till you die." I turned to him. I saw the hurt in his eyes.
"I'm sorry" he admitted. "I'm sorry for grabbing you and assuming things."
"I forgive you," I sighed, "for now" I lightly laughed.
He let go his breath. "Thank god," grabbing my hand, "I can't deal with you being upset at me" he looked me in my eyes.
"Gross stop doing that," I took my hands from his grasp.
He laughed.
At least his laugh was calming.
The car stopped, "we're here" he smiled.
"Where are we exactly?" I questioned.
"We are going shopping," he left, going around the vehicle and opening the door for me.
Shopping?
Quite the charmer isn't he?
"Thank you Monsieur," I laughed.
"You are very welcome Mademoiselle," he grabbed my hand to help me out.
Dimitri kissed my hand.
