Chapter 4

Shuichi's PoV: 

I started explaining to Kokichi what was going on, as I continued talking about the rules of the killing game and small details about it. As I was finished explaining everything, Kokichi was terrified, I have to admit I'm starting to think he is pulling a prank on us. He looked truly scared of our current situation. 

"I... " He said, his voice was really quiet, almost like a whisper. "I understand, I'll go back to my dorm if you don't mind..." His voice was monotone, without emotion.

He started walking slowly down the hall, with his head pointing to the floor. It seems like he realized something because he returned where I was.

"...I'm really stupid, aren't I?" He suddenly said I was sorta confused. Why would he say that?

"Do you know where the dorms are? If so, can you lead me there?" Now that makes sense, I can't believe I didn't notice that. I giggle a little bit.

"I do not appreciate you laughing at me, Shumai~" He said playfully. "Now can you show me the dorms, please"

"Maybe after I eat something, I must say I'm still pretty hungry," I said.

"I'm... a-also hungry," Kokichi said, he stuttered a bit, but I'm not sure why. "Can I go with you?"

"O-of course" I said, quite surprised that he asked me first. He'll usually just follow me around. "Just make sure not to catch the attention of anyone, ok?"

"I'll try... but I'm not sure if I can do that. Even before I left everyone was staring at me, I suppose that it's because of the way I act." Wow, Kokichi is actually smart.

We started heading back to the dining hall, Kokichi seem kinda scarred off by something or someone, I couldn't imagine who he could be scared of. Maybe it had something to do with the killing game, maybe the fear of someone suddenly killing you.

"Hey, everything is going to be fine, well fine the mastermind and get out of this place, all of us we will be fine" I said, for some reason I wanted him to feel safe. He looked directly at me, and smile a little bit. Even though it was a subtle smile, it made me so happy, I don't understand why, but that smile was so calming.

"Actually I'm nervous about someone." He said "I don't really know his name but he looks... kinda scary, from what I heard he is the ultimate Entomologist"

"Oh, that's Gonta, he might seem scary, but he's really sweet"

"Yeah, whatever, I don't really like bugs either, sooo" 

"Ok, just don't say that in front of him"

Just after finishing that conversation, we arrived at the dining hall.
