I wake up still tired and dazed, I sit up and look around. 'Oh yeah...' I thought. 'I'm still in the lair. Ugh' I get up and leave Donnie's room. I tiptoe quietly out to the couch where I see Casey. School is in an hour and a half so I decide to wake him up. I wouldn't want to let him be late if he was planning on going to school today.
"Hey.. Puckhead get up." I say. He doesn't even budge. I try to poke up and he slowly moves.
"I said get up Casey!" I say louder and a hand comes up towards my face quickly. I immediately grab it before it hits me. He wakes up surprised.
"Aw you holding my hand Sunshine?" He says smiling yet his eyes still look tired.
My face starts to burn up and I throw his hand down. "No! I was just being nice and waking you up, school starts soon." I say.
"Oh so like ten minutes... what! An hour and a half is soon to you?!" He says loudly.
"SOME TURTLES ARE TRYING TO SLEEP!" we hear Raph yell. Casey laughs.
"I'm sorry I don't like being late to school!" I whisper loudly.
"What do you even do until school starts?" He asks me.
"Well I have to go back to my apartment and change and eat. You can come I guess." I say. "I mean if you want."
Casey immediately jumps up and puts his arm around my shoulder. "Let's go." He says smiling big.
I remove his arm from me and walk towards the exit. I need to get home soon and he isn't gonna slow me down. As we walk he puts his arm back around me and I remove it again. This happens two more times until I just give up and let him. 'He's just trying to get under your skin Danielle don't worry.' I say to myself.
We get to my apartment in 20 minutes and I leave him in my family room while I change. It only takes me ten minutes. I decide on simple acid washed highwaisted shorts, not too short, with a black crop top and black vans. It was suppose to get to 90° today which is super hot.
"Someone looks hot." Casey says staring at me as I walk into the family room.
"Shut up puckhead." I say grinning and he just frowns.
"What do you want to eat?" I say.
"I don't eat breakfast" Casey says.
"But it's the most important meal of the day, you have to eat it to have energy for the day!" I say in my parent voice. I get him to laugh.
"Fine. Pancakes." He says.
"Alright, pancakes it is." I say.
"We want some." I hear a different voice say. I turn and see the turtles. Mikey is already sitting at the table. All the others join him.
"Sorry I only have thirty minutes and I can't be late to school." I say laughing as I start to make the pancakes. I hear groans and I smile.
"So why is Casey here?" I hear Leo say. And the room gets quiet quickly, because the other turtles stop talking.
"Oh I'm just making him food, that's it." I say shruging.
I give Casey his plate and I sit down next to him and start to eat. Leo has always been very protective of me I don't think he likes me hanging out alone with Casey.
"Yeah because she has to be a goody goody and get to school all early and not be late."
"I am so not a goody goody. I get detention." I say and laugh. Casey rolls his eyes. "That doesn't mean anything" He says laughing. We eat in silence while the tutles non stop talk.
I look at the clock.
"Okay we gotta get to school. It's like a ten minute walk. Casey nods and shoves the last bit of food in his mouth and gets up.
"Where are your books?" I ask. "What books?" He says smiling. I roll my eyes and get my book bag and throw it around my shoulders. We walk towards the door. And I turn around. "Hey." I say getting the turtles attention. "Don't break anything while I'm gone and lock the window when you leave." I say to them in a serious tone.
They all look at each other and laugh. Leo looks right at me. I smile and turn and shut the door.
As we start to walk Casey puts his arm around my shoulder again and i dont even bother to remove it. He's just going to put it back. He also just starts to ask questions and talking none stop. 'This is going to be a long walk' I think.
