"hey, blueberry," geoff greeted awsten as the shorter boy approached him.

"hi, so, are we walking?" awsten asked.

"nah, i have my license. come on." geoff grinned before leading awsten to his car.

"goddamn, am i really the only one who can't drive?" awsten asked with a small laugh.

"looks like it, now get in." geoff nodded before opening the door to the passenger side of his car. awsten immediately hopped in as geoff made his way to the driver's side.

"wow, what a gentleman," awsten said jokingly as he shut the door. geoff's face grew slightly pink.

"whatever," geoff mumbled trying to fight back a smile.

the two got everything situated before geoff began to drive off.

"what movie do you wanna watch?" geoff asked. awsten sat for a moment.

"um, i don't know. anything's fine, really," awsten responded.

"okay, i thought you'd have an answer. oh well, i guess we'll just go and see whatever they've got that looks the most interesting," geoff began, "oh, and you can connect your phone to the aux if you want."

"alright, cool, thanks." awsten grinned before plugging in his phone and opening his spotify.

there was a brief period of silence before geoff's eyes immediately lit up after the song started.

"you listen to cute is what we aim for?" geoff asked excitedly.

"yeah, actually, they're one of my favorites," awsten responded with a grin.

"no way, what's your favorite song?"

"call me basic but the curse of curves. it's popular for a reason, y'know," awsten replied.

"understandable, mine's there's a class for this. so good," geoff chuckled trying his hardest to keep his eyes on the road.

"oh, man, that song's so good!" awsten told him.

"i know!"

the rest of the car ride turned into a carpool karaoke session.

"i actually wasn't expecting that ending at all," awsten admitted as the two walked up the stairs. geoff shrugged.

"it was predictable," he said.

"not as predictable as seeing you almost cry from the corner of my eye during that whole confession scene," awsten teased. geoff rolled his eyes and opened the door to his room.

the two stepped inside and awsten scanned the room.

"you play guitar?" awsten asked. geoff nodded. "that's hot."

"oh, uh, thanks," geoff stumbled over his words as his face grew hot. "um, do you play anything?" geoff asked.

"yeah, guitar and bass. i never thought of you as a musician guy," awsten told him as he slowly walked around to take a closer look at everything on display. geoff smiled.

"i never thought of you as a bass player. typically bass players aren't as annoying as you." geoff grinned. awsten turned to him with an eyebrow raised.

"says this fucking nerd, you have a whole triforce on your desk. you have no right to shit on me for being smart anymore in class, dickhead." awsten smiled.
