Abby was perusing the shelves of the bookstore, searching for the right book and she's more than happy to find one labeled Quileute legends.
"Bingo" she says happily as she went to go pay the guy seated behind the cash register.
"Enjoy" he adds, taking the money from her.
"Thanks" she replied before making her way out the store. "Oh shit" she adds, noticing that it had started to turn dark. She'd been so busy reading snippets of some of the new books on display that she hadn't notice the time pass. "Shit" she adds as she quickened her steps to catch up with Jess and Angela who were probably wondering where the hell she was since she didn't even tell them where she was going.
She rounds a corner and comes across a group of guys standing outside the parking lot of some warehouse. Abby quickens her steps, hoping to just pass by without any problems.
"Hey baby, what are you doing out here?!" one of the guys says as his friends approach her, ganging up on her.
"Leave me alone" Abby says as they cackle at this, some of them drunk.
"Come on now babe–" he says, grabbing ahold of her arm.
"Don't touch me!" Abby says angrily as they snicker even more at this. "Just let me go" she adds, moving to sidestep the one in front of her only to have him block her path.
"Oh come on now, pretty, we just wanna have some fun with you" he said as he moved to stroke her face.
"I said don't touch me!" Abby says, kneeing him in the groin as he cries out at this. She tries to run off only to have one of them pin her against the wall less than a second later.
"You're going to regret doing that you black bitch!" the guy says when she tried to fight them off as best she can until they all turn when they hear the screeching of tyres.
They are momentarily blinded by headlights as Abby sees a familiar looking Volvo.
The driver was driving like they were crazy and Edward steps out less than a second later, looking the angriest that Abby has ever seen him as the guy that had been cupping her neck releases her, allowing her to scramble away from them.
"Get in the car" Edward says to her, his eyes trained on the guys that had been ready to hurt her.
She doesn't need to be told twice as she walked past him and made her way into his car while he glared at the 4 guys.
One of them moves to attack him only for all of them to back away fearfully when they see how black Edward's eyes were.
His glare was chilling and animalistic and none of them wanted to mess with that.
Abby watched on from inside the car, shaking a little as she tried to calm herself before Edward made his way back into the car.
He pulls away, almost running the guys over with his car which causes them to jump to safety while Abby throws a brief glance at him.
He was seething in anger.
So much so that his hands were wrapped so tightly around the steering wheel that she worried he'd rip it out if he could.
"How–?" she starts, about to question him.
"I should go back there and rip their heads off" he says instead through gritted teeth, throwing a brief glance at his rearview mirror, looking just about ready to truly do that.
"That wouldn't be a good idea" Abby says to him.
"You don't know the vile, repulsive things that they were thinking" he adds angrily.
