Abby paid the taxi driver before climbing out of the taxi and standing before the deserted building as the taxi driver drove off. She stared at the building and recalled all the times she and Tanya would come here to watch Tia for her ballet practice.
Tia would always laugh so delightedly when she'd do the positions properly, sometimes even practicing them at their house in the backyard.
Times had seemed simpler then.
Abby exhales deeply before making her way into the building.
"Abby?!" Tia shouted as Abby slipped in through the broken window and made her way to the room with the mirrors. She knows this place like this back of her hand, even in its dilapidated state. "Abby, please–!" Tia's voice comments as Abby bursts into the room, expecting to see her sister only to find that she wasn't anywhere inside.
"Ah Abby, so you've finally decided to join me" James says sinisterly as he revealed the recorder and cellphones in his hands, playing the recording of Tia shouting for her.
"Abby?! Abby please just pick up your phone!" her sister's voice shouted in distress.
"I've been waiting for you!" he says with a sinister grin before crushing Tia's phone into dust as Abby looked at him in shock at this.
He tricked her. Tia wasn't here.
He'd used a recording of her sister and her phone to lure her into coming here. Abby turns to run out the room only for him to block her path as she inhales sharply at this, backing away from him in fear.
"Y-You tricked me" she states fearfully.
"I knew that if your sister called then you'd come running" he admits with a devil-may-care smirk and shrug.
He exploited her love for her sister. Abby isn't at all surprised by this. He's disgusting this way.
She pulls out her pepper spray and sprays him in the face as he screamed at this, covering his eyes as if in pain as she tried to run again only for James to start laughing maniacally almost immediately, chilling her to bone.
"You think pepper spray can stop me? Really Abby?" he asks mockingly before appearing behind her and then knocking her into some of the mirrors as if she were nothing but a fly. "I'm a little disappointed in you to be entirely honest" he added in a somewhat condescending manner, wiping the pepper spray from his eyes.
Abby screams right before colliding into the mirrors and cutting her hand on the broken glass when she tried to sit up. She touches the back of her head with her other hand and feels something warm and sticky and when she draws them back her fingers are coated in blood.
Now both of her hands are bloody.
Wonderful.
"Now this a sight!" he says grandly as he pulled out a video-camera and started recording her. "What a beautiful and visually dynamic view this is turning out to be" he says, "I chose my stage well" he further added as he grabbed her right hand, "it's too bad he didn't have the strength to turn you" he says, "instead he kept you his fragile little human" he mocks as Abby drew her bloody hand back from him, glaring at him as she did. "It's cruel really" he comments before snapping her femur bone in two as both Abby screamed bloody murder at this.
Excruciating isn't even the right word to describe it.
"Tell Edward how much it hurts" he says as he continued recording her, all but shoving the camera in her face this time around, "Tell him to avenge you! Tell him!" he shouted.
"No! Edward...d-don't!" Abby cries out, knowing that doing that would be doing exactly what James wanted.
He wanted the thrill of torturing Abby and having Edward hunt him down because of this.
