Lan Wangji sat on the Xuanwu's shell.
[It's been hours... It finally stopped moving.]
The water was half tinted blood, Lan Wangji finally let go of the strings. Lan Wangji jumped into the water as he swam towards Xuanwu's mouth. Using his remaining strength, he opened the mouth.
"Wei Ying!"
Lan Wangji saw the male who held on tightly to a sword, palms bleeding with a body wet and cold. Lan Wangji pulled Wei Wuxian up, causing the sword to follow along.
"Wei Ying! Wei Ying can you hear me?"
Lan Wangji brushed his hand along Wei Wuxians' cheek, the male jolted awake and frantically looked around.
"What's happening?! What's going on?! Has it died?! Is it dead?!"
Lan Wangji let out a breath of relief before pulling Wei Wuxian close.
"It's dead... We killed it."
Wei Wuxians' mouth slowly formed into a smile before he wrapped his arms around Lan Wangji.
"Thank God..."
Wei Wuxian chuckled.
"It was screaming and rolling around earlier so I got nauseous and then I fainted."
Wei Wuxian gasped.
"Oh right the hole! Quickly, let's go. We can escape through it now."
Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji, but Lan Wangji was wondering.
"Is there something wrong?"
Wei Wuxian was hesitant to speak.
"It's nothing! Let's hurry, we've got no time to loose."
"I'll carry you."
"You don't have to, Lan Zhan- ah!"
Lan Wangji pulled Wei Wuxians' waist as he took a deep inhale. Now sinking down and swimming towards the exit. Only to swim back up.
"Ack!"
Wei Wuxian coughed up blood.
"What?! Why is there no exit?!"
Lan Wangji looked down into the water.
"I'm afraid that... The Xuanwu thrashing around in pain dislodged some rocks and the hole ended up... Completely blocked."
Wei Wuxian frowned.
"Well... What do we do now?"
Lan Wangji pulled Wei Wuxian.
"Let's get to the shore first."
They went to the dry land, Wei Wuxian stormed off first. Lan Wangji followed slowly behind.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Wei Wuxian slammed his wet robes unto the ground.
"IT WAS HARD ENOUGH KILLING IT, BUT THAT BASTARD HAD TO CRUSH THE HOLE TOO?! WHAT NOW?! A FUCKING BONE FISH WILL COME OUT OF NOWHERE TO EAT US?!"
Wei Wuxian let out tears.
"FUCK!"
Lan Wangji ran over when he saw Wei Wuxians' legs start to give up.
"Fuck..."
"Wei Ying, you're hot."
Lan Wangji quickly laid Wei Wuxian down. Wei Wuxian chuckled and pecked Lan Wangjis' forehead.
"You're pretty hot too..."
"I meant a fever."
"Oh..."
