[Chapter 1 - Park Jimin]

Jimin POV

"Good Morning Mom" "Good Morning Jiminie, come the food is ready, let's eat." I and my mom ate our delicious food well, let's say simple but delicious food. Yes, we are poor but I and my mom are still happy especially when I said yes to my mom on going to the biggest university in the whole of South Korea, Seoul High. My dad died in a car accident when he is on his way to his job. But before anything else let me introduce myself.

I'm Park Jimin, 22 years old and my dad died in a car accident while on his way to his job. It's only me and my mom but we still manage to be happy. My dad is an accountant and my mom is a housewife. Since dad died we have no one left to work for us to be able to buy our everyday needs so mom needs to work. My mom is a cook in a restaurant that is only 3 blocks away from our apartment. We live in a small apartment that has only one room, a small living room, and a small kitchen. My mom told me last week that she has been saving up some money because she wants me to get back to school. I stopped schooling when my dad died because mom needs someone to help her but now mom wants me to go back to school. I was before in Mystic High but my mom decided to transfer me to Seoul High, the biggest and most famous university in the whole of South Korea, while I don't have any choice but to say yes. Mystic High is an excellent school, there are also lots of rich students there and it's also expensive to study there. I heard that Mystic High and Seoul United are enemies but of course, I don't agree with just rumors I will be knowing the truth tomorrow. I will be starting my first day tomorrow and I wish there are no bullies unlike in my other school there are lots of them. I can't do anything special that I know why they're bullying me and it's because I'm a big nerd.

I and my mom finished eating. Mom bid goodbye to me because she has to go to work. I was left alone in the house and since I was so bored I decided to ready my things and I also started to think about what I'm gonna wear tomorrow because for sure students there are wearing expensive clothing. I left the house and go to the book store in our village to buy books that could help me tomorrow at school since I still don't have my actual books. When I got home I immediately go to my room and got my old backpack, we don't have enough money to buy a new backpack so I'm just using the same over and over again but it doesn't matter to me tho because at least I have something to use.

I put my books in my backpack and my colored pencils if ever I need them. I was also going to buy a ballpen and luckily they are selling bullpens in the book store. I'm all set for tomorrow and I was about to rest and scroll on my little phone when I remember that I still have to think of what I'm going to wear tomorrow. I don't know what to wear so I just picked a grey hoodie with black jogger pants and white shoes. I like wearing sweaters, hoodies, pants, and white shoes the most. I go to the bathroom to take a bath because the weather is so hot. I lay on the bed and scrolled on my phone. Little did I know that I fell asleep while scrolling.

6:30 pm

I got startled by the loud bang on my door. I opened my eyes and saw my mom in shock. "Oh thank God you're just sleeping" "Why mom? What do you think I'm doing?" "I thought you were in danger because I've been pressing the doorbell multiple times and you won't open it." I just gave her a confused look and mouthed an 'ok'. I changed the subject by telling her that I have already arranged the things that I'll be needed for tomorrow's first day of school. She just nodded and said 'okay that's good' and left my room. I just lay on the bed again and I started scrolling on Instagram when I saw someone's post saying 'Excited for a new school year at Seoul United!' I was shocked that he is a student from Seoul United and he looks nice too honestly. Thoughts start running in my mind such as 'should I dm him? ' 'should I just comment?' 'should I like his post?' My thoughts are cut by my mom shouting, telling me that it's dinner time.  I was confused so I checked the time and get shocked seeing it was already 8 o'clock. It took me 1 hour and 30 minutes to think about what I would do in the post. I shouted back to let her know that I'll be heading down any minute.

I headed downstairs and saw luxurious, delicious food but I already know where it came from. Sometimes when there are leftovers from the customers that can still be eaten in the restaurant where my mom works she would bring them home for us to have a delicious dinner. Of course, I'm telling her to stop doing it but she continues doing it well of course I don't have any choice but to agree. After eating mom and I quickly go upstairs to sleep because it's the first day of school tomorrow and I can't be late, especially since I'm a new student. I was excited and nervous at the same time but mom told me not to be nervous because she was sure that I'll be doing great and of course I did what she told me to and stop being nervous.
