Trouble on the Storm

Chapter 4

Jace's POV

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE GOT TAKEN BY FAERIES?!" I shouted at Izzy.

"I-I don't know. There must have been some inside the institute." she stammered.

"Who let faeries inside the institute?!"

"I don't know. But I do know that you standing there yelling at me won't help us find Clary." she shot daggers at me with her eyes.

"Fine. Tell me what happened."

Isabelle went through the events after I left the institute. Apparently Clary was crying and ran into Magnus. He went and told Izzy, and when she came to cheer Clary up, there were faeries sitting around her. Right as she pulled out her whip, the faeries took Clary and jumped through the window.

"And I saw them heading towards Central Park." she finished.

"So, I guess we need to take a trip to the Seelie Court and have a talk with the Fair Folk." I said, practically spitting the last two words.

And with that, we descended into the river entrance.

We had already knocked out the two guards and were making our way into the grand chamber when we heard the crash. With a swift glance at Izzy, we ran off towards the noise.

It came from a small room at the end of a long, dark hallway. The door was open, and the scene laid out before me was terrifying.

Clary was strapped down on a bed in the middle of the room with glass shards falling all around her. She looked like she was unconscious. There were two guards on both sides of her with blood dripping down their necks.

And looming above Clary was another shadowhunter, about to slit her throat.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hey guys..... Sorry about the suuuuuper short chapter (barely 300 words) but I wanted to leave you a cliffhanger. (Don't kill me)

I also wanted to apologize for not uploading on a regular schedule like ... Ever. But I don't really know how I wanna work this book so I surprise myself every time I try to write.
