"Can I start?" Earth asked, his hands were playing with Mix's silky hair. After a few minutes he looked at Mix but there still was no answer. "Mix?"

"Hmmm, yeah."

"Are you listening or are you sleeping?" Earth chuckled.

"I'm listening, but...not you."

"Ouch," Earth pouted, "and who are you listening to, then?"

"Your heart—I love the way it beats."

"Because of you," Earth whispered, his hands going from Mix's hair to his waist, stroking it gently.

"You can start. I'm listening now," Mix said and turned his head in a way that he could with his doe eyes look up at Earth.

Mix was curious and a little terrified to find out what exactly happened. Why did Earth disappear from his arms in such an awful way? Why Mix felt like his heart was tearing into pieces? What was the reaction of his parents? How Earth got back to Canada, and most importantly—Mix was scared to know how much Earth suffered.

Since Earth came back to Mix, Earth had done nothing just take care of Mix as if Mix was the only one who suffered because of what happened. As if Earth wasn't the one who went through the whole transformation from being a ghost to being alive again. As if Earth wasn't the one who vanished from the place he was used to for over twenty years and suddenly appeared on an exact place where he was killed all those years ago.

That was what Earth said right? Mix was still confused about it. Mix wanted to be back to normal so that he could finally be one to take care of Earth. To make sure Earth was truly alright. Mix was never an expert on ghosts but he was sure that shift like that wasn't something someone could get used to only in a few days, especially if during those days they couldn't focus on themselves because they were trying to find a way to get back to their boyfriend who was thousands of miles away.

"Alright," Earth said, one of his hands leaving Mix's waist so that he could put it under his head. "It felt like I was dying. I really did. After you left, everything was fine for a while. I was reading books, watching Christmas lights and thinking about you, or looking out the window where the blizzard was getting stronger by minutes. I didn't feel anything weird about myself but then...this cabin had to have unexpected visitors."

"Huh? Did someone hurt you?" Mix asked, his hand reaching towards Earth's face.

"They didn't," Earth shook his head. "At least not directly. Two poachers wanted to get inside the cabin to hide before the blizzard. I couldn't possibly allow them to get inside what's yours."

"Ours," Mix said with a frown. "This place may legally belong to me but it's more yours than mine. So just let it be our place."

"I like that," Earth gently smiled, but then his features got shrouded in remains of pain. "I had to stop them somehow and the only way I could, was to try and shake the cabin?"
