chapter nine

First chapter of 2022*

Dinner went well more than my expectations. After our small encounter with Daniel, we went downstairs where we found Aunt and uncle along with debora sitting outside, so we decided to join them.

"Finally! I thought you guys were going to stay there forever". Mrs. Chambers said smiling.

"Sorry Mom, for keeping u guys waiting". Luna spoke for the both of us

"It's cool, well Vicky how are you coping with school, i know it's a complete different country and system for you".

"Honestly If I was not friends with luna and the other guys, i would be cursing myself out but i guess it's cool and i am handling it quite well" i said smiling, a genuine smile.

"Well I am happy to know you are able to relate with others". Mrs. Chambers said.

Mrs. Chambers really reminds me of my mother. If mom was here, she   would have said the same thing.

" Well let's head for dinner" Mr Chambers said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

For Dinner Mrs. Chambers, showed us her cooking skills by cooking fried rice with chicken and some veggies, with fruits as desert.

Dinner went by so fast that I didn't realize it. But i learned a lot of things about the Chambers.
Luna has another brother named lucas, who studies in Hong Kong.
And that Mr. Arrogant was Daniel walter, and he was luna's distant cousin ( which still does not explains his name to be walter)  staying with them for a while.
Mrs. Chambers is very passionate about decoration and cooking.Which explains the exterior and interior decorations of the house and not forgetting the food.
Mr. Chamber is a very calm and an observant person. He is a lawyer and is very good at sewing clothes.
In conclusion, the Chamber family is very creative.

"It's was fun talking with you luna, thanks for having me over" i told luna  holding her hands. It was 7:30pm and we were saying our goodbyes to head home.

" The pleasure is all mine. I also enjoyed your company, thanks for coming" she said hugging me.

While saying our goodbyes, I was looking for someone but didn't find the person. As I was going, i felt pairs of eyes on me, when i turned, there was Daniel looking at me through his window. And when I thought I saw him raising his hand to wave, he literally closed the window.
Spoke too soon*

Speaking of Daniel, I noticed that he was very calm during the dinner and was looking at me (well i was also maybe peeping his side). After dinner he rushed to his bedroom saying " i have important work to deal with".

After the good-byes, we went home.
We reached home by 9 pm. I rushed to my room to clean up and change into clean clothes.
After the shower, i wore my blue pjs, and when I was readying to hit my bed, i heard my name downstairs.

" Luna someone is here for you" joseph yelled.

After so many days of feeling strong and once I feel tired, that's when people have to see me. Karma is a bitch.

I headed downstairs, i was praying it was a prank cause who would come to see me around this time.
I reached the door, just to open to find a handsome,cute, tall and arrogant guy standing in front of me.
Yes, it was Daniel, God knows what he wants from me.

" Hi, what is so urgent that u had to come and disturb me?"

" Take!" He said

I looked at what he was giving me, to realize it was my phone. How on earth did my phone land with him?

" Are you not ashamed to steal and come and give it back in person?" I said fuming

" Seriously! Why will I bring back your phone if I stole it? Girl stop passing through school and actually go to school and learn to use your brain".

Well that hit hard,maybe  he was right, maybe i left it there or dropped it somewhere and forgot about it.

" Since my aunt likes your business, she pursued me to come and give your phone back" he said with an annoyed face.

And as if he wasn't that angry i went and added
" Can't you be a gentleman and tell me that you came to drop it for me?" I asked him crossing my arms.
And he did the unexpected, he walked away and showed me his middle finger.
No problem, i guess I will have to preach him the gospel.
