Mark kissed Cassy goodbye at the door, her body still wrapped in a sheet from the previous night. She was exhausted, but smiling as he left. She walked back into her apartment, breathing a sigh of relief. She chucked the sheet somewhere where she would remember to wash it, pausing to take another deep breath. Being with Mark was fun and spontaneous, but it really wasn't very relaxing. She walked into her bathroom, turning on the shower and beginning to prepare for the day. She did have to work today, and she was not excited.

Nick groaned. He was never up this early, but he'd fallen asleep writing the night before, and his internal clock woke him up at, yes, 6 AM. He rubbed his hands over his face, making himself a real breakfast for the first time in his life. None of his roommates were even up yet, which made him slightly more miserable. What made it worse, though, is that with his favourite cereal, he liked milk. They had plenty of his favourite cereal. No milk.

Sighing, he remembered that Cassy was working today, so she would probably be awake by now. He didn't know why he was so angry with her lately, but he would forfeit that for his favourite cereal. He walked across the hallway, walking into her apartment. He didn't just want to take without asking, but he could hear her shower on so she must have been awake. He walked past the sheet on the floor, not questioning it.

He walked into her bedroom. The bed frame looked nice. It did match her other furniture. Her sheets were messy and frankly, all over the place. She had set a pair of scrubs and her hospital ID on the bed in preparation. He glanced over it briefly, realizing he never knew before now where she worked. Her badge said doctor. Huh.

However, all of these things were very minor thoughts whizzing through his brain as the foremost thought screamed at him. Actually, it was Cassy who screamed at him as he stood there, staring.

"Nick!" She screamed. He just stared. She was very naked. She ripped a blanket off of the bed, covering herself quickly. Her face was bright red, but Nick was still staring. "Nick!" She yelled a second time.

"Wow." He mumbled simply. Cassy scoffed, scowling as she shoved him out of her bedroom.

"What the hell?" She asked.

"I just wanted some... milk." He remembered after a second.

"Just take it! Jesus." She yelled behind the door.

Nick took the milk, leaving her apartment in a daze. He could not stop seeing her in his mind. He knew that was wrong, that it was inappropriate, but he wasn't trying, it was just... there. He went back into his own apartment, pouring the cereal and sitting at the counter. The cereal was beginning to get soggy, but he just sat there.

"Nick. My man. You are losing yourself." Winston said, slapping him on the back. Nick jerked out of his stupor, flushing bright red. "You alright?"

"No." Nick replied, leaving his cereal untouched before shutting himself in his bedroom.

Cassy locked every single door in her house three times before locking herself in her shower. Her face was still bright red, and she felt hot. It's not like she was ashamed of her body, and obviously it was not the first time anyone had seen her naked, but this was Nick. And it wasn't in any sort of sexual circumstance. He just walked right in.

Her shower lasted 40 minutes before she realized how much the use of water would cost. She sighed, turning it off and pulling on her scrubs. Nick would have to wait. She had dead bodies to attend to.

The entire day, Cassy was completely out of it. Her intern asked her if she was okay three times before she answered. Not a single dead body, even the one murder victim they took care of today, could stop her from thinking about it. She was thoroughly embarrassed. She couldn't even answer any of Mark's text messages, she just couldn't think about him without now thinking of Nick. How those two things correlated, she didn't know.
