In this chapter I'll be covering vector tips, something I've been asked to do but honestly I'm not the best vector artist so idk if I'm the best person to do this 🙈🙈.

But I shall try anyway. Here are a few tips to help you begin your vectoring adventures.

TIP ONE ; TYPES OF IMAGES TO USE AS A BEGINNER.

When you first start doing vectors, one of the best advice that I can give is to be careful picking images.

Do not pick images that has a lot of different textures (especially if the textures make parts stand out). Do not pick images with lots of shadows. Do not pick images where the faceclaim is obstructing their face with another part of their body.

Images like these are ones I wouldn't necessarily recommend when first starting out;

I'm not saying these are off limits. But when you first start off, these images could prove challenging. You can of course work your way up to doing these by practice.

There isn't a lot of different textures. There aren't a lot of shadows. There is nothing major obstructing the faces. These are always the types of images I would suggest to practice your basic skills on.

TIP TWO ; LAYERS ARE YOUR FRIEND

The face should be one layer. Hair should be another layer. The neck should be another layer. Clothes should be another layer. The background (if you did it) should be another layer.

No two parts of an image should be on the same layer.

If you have everything on one layer and you mess something up, or you realize you don't like certain parts, chances are you'd have to restart. But if you have different layers you can focus on only one section or restart only one section rather than the entire thing.
