matthew.

When me and Steph step back in the lobby of our hotel, I notice that Aaron, Jack and Jack aren't there anymore. It pisses me off because I specifically told them to wait here just in case Jessica or Carter came back, but they didn't, they probably got bored and left to go somewhere.

I check to make sure that Steph is still next to me as we head into the elevator and up to our floor. Even though it worries me that Jessica is missing, I'm still mad because just the fact that she's with Carter just makes me think of all the things they could've done. I know Carter. I know that when he's intoxicated, he can't control himself and he hooks up with any girl that comes onto him. Which makes me think that Jessica probably came onto him first, and that thought makes me even more mad.

But as I look at Stephanie standing next to me with her long hair, gorgeous blue eyes, and that perfect shape of her body.. it makes me forget what I have with Jessica. I know that I've been with Jess for about a year now, but I have to admit that I've never felt the same way about her the way I feel with Steph. I've started to catch feelings for Jessica and I honestly thought that there would be no one else for me, but once I saw Steph again.. something inside of me clicked. It's like all the feelings came flooding back into me and now I'm drowing inside.

The elevator door finally opens and we begin to walk down the hall in silence. It wasn't awkward though, we just wanted to get to the room quickly and talk there.

The door to Aaron's room is already open, so I decide to walk in there just to ask him why he left the lobby. Steph was still behind me and I made sure she stayed there. I liked when she was next to me.

"Matt!" I'm greeted with someone running up to me.

My eyes widen as I see Jessica in front of me and she suddenly swings her arms around my neck and hugs me tight. I smile and hug her back, but I immedietely back away.

"Where were you?" I ask, anger clear in my voice. Now I understand why Aaron wasn't in the lobby anymore.. she actually came back and that's why he came up to the rooms. But why didn't he call me? I'll be sure to talk to him about that later.

"And where's Carter?" I pull my eyebrows together, continuing to ask her questions.

Her face suddenly drops and her smile disappears. She looks behind me at Steph for a second, before looking back up and me, then to the ground. She deeply sighs and I'm still in confusion. I'm surprised that she's actually back and not missing, but can she just answer my questions?

"Carter's here." She says quietly, "He's in his room."

"Okay.. and where were you guys?" I ask, getting impatient.

She sighs and I can already tell that this won't be good. "Listen Matt.." She begins, "We need to talk. In private."

Although I'd rather her tell me now, I decide that it's a better idea if we do it privately. I turn to look at Steph with an apologetic look on my face. I had a lot of fun with her these past days and I promised that we would talk and hang out tonight, but I really need to talk to Jess. I think Steph notices, because she slowly backs away into the hallway.

"I'll be in Nash's room." She says, giving me a small smile. I smile back at her, making sure to thank her later for helping me look for Jessica.

When I look back at Jess, her eyes are still on the doorway behind me where Steph was just standing. I reach for her hand and walk out of Aaron's room and to our room, where it's empty and free of people. I shut the door behind me, so that we're completely alone. I motion for her to sit on my bed with me, and she does.
