The past half hour or so had been dead quiet, if the time from after the meeting finished to when Yoongi and Haerin started to eat their late lunch together were added up.
Just the two of them, sitting at the breakfast bar opposite each other.
The other members ate while they were at the meeting, and manager was who knows where, so the two soulmates ate what was saved for them when they came back.
No sticky notes, glares or shouts were exchanged. Each just focused on trying to hear their own chewing or foot tapping under the table.
Yoongi could hear, only the slightest since it was just them in the dining area. It was still too faint.
Haerin however, was dreading the silence.
Can he please cry or something?
When is he going to start talking so my hearing will be fixed?
This isn't fair. Why doesn't he even try to repair my hearing?
Then an unexpected thought crossed her mind, shocking even her when she thought of it.
Maybe he hates me so much, he doesn't even care... or doesn't want me to hear again.
Then she could only think of how he, the members, manager, and CEO probably still didn't trust her, considering they took away her phone without another word of it and haven't given it back. Also the fact that she, especially directed at her, had to be told not to tell anyone about the bond besides her family. How the heck was she supposed to do that WITHOUT her phone?
She sighed and placed down her cutlery, then wrote and placed a note in the middle of the table; in front of herself and Yoongi.
'My head hurts. I no longer have an appetite.'
He looked up, curious at her sudden leave.
Haerin made her way to her room, crossing through the living area as she did.
"Ah, Haerin!" Namjoon jumped off the couch, waving at her.
His hand in the air caught her attention, and she cautiously walked over to the leader, still having her previous thoughts about the members in mind.
She noticed Seokjin and Hoseok were sitting there with him.
Haerin had decided as she agreed to stay at the dorm to act naturally around the members, especially Yoongi. Needing to have to stay at their dorm was nerve-wracking enough, and would just make it worse if she freaked over the fact 24/7. It was either she did not associate with them or just be casual, even friends, dropping the fact that she was a fan before being Yoongi's soulmate.
Since most of the members initiated conversation first anyway, Haerin thought she might as well have talked to them.
But it was hard now, she did not know how they thought of her.
"How was the meeting?"Namjoon asked her as she read his lips.
'Okay.'
She replied.
He raised a brow,"Was it that bad? Why aren't you with your soulmate?"
Haerin wrote back.
'It was just... confronting. I realised a lot of things after it.'
'We also found out what happened at the concert after we collapsed. And there were a few rules set by the CEO that we had to follow, so I was pretty nervous.'
'Yoongi is still eating.'
Namjoon nodded after reading.
"I see, it's okay to be nervous. You only just got here, you're already finished eating?"
She sighed softly before writing.
'I'm not that hungry.'
"Alright," he motioned for her to take a seat on the couch.
Haerin did as implied, and sat between Seokjin and Hoseok.
What do they think of me?
She thought worrisome for a second, but then remembered that they were being so kind and attempting to talk more to her, even though they may not trust Haerin and she wasn't on good terms with Yoongi.
But the thought of him saddened her. Why did they have to always fight? What made him dislike her so much when they first met?
'Don't be down :( you're with us so be happy!'
Hoseok smiled at her.
'Thanks Hoseok, I'll try.'
She tried to give him her biggest smile.
It was quite genuine, she was glad they were trying to befriend her, but she was too bothered by the thought of Yoongi.
'Are you upset about Yoongi?'
'Don't worry, he's just being moody.'
'Isn't it that ARMY call him a grandpa? That's it!'
Haerin giggled at Seokjin's reference.
'Not necessarily about Yoongi, but I'm okay.'
She only wanted people to be burdened with her soulmate problems since she had to go to the appointments, not her emotions; she could handle them herself, as she learned growing up.
'Alright then, don't worry too much, okay? Everything is going to be fine.'
Haerin nodded.
'Thanks Seokjin.'
At that, she laid her head back on the couch.
Namjoon handed her a note.
'Why aren't you talking much? I thought you were comfortable with speaking now.'
She lifted her head then shrugged and replied.
'I don't feel like talking right now.'
The three looked at her in confusion.
'But isn't that how you'll fix each other's hearing? By talking to each other?'
He gave it to her.
"I guess so," she said ever so quietly, just to please them.
Just when she was about to close her eyes, a person entered the room, and quickly made their way towards Haerin.
A note was stuck to her forehead, and she peeled it off to read the message.
'Why did you suddenly leave?'
