"Can she hear us?"
"Can she hear anything?"
If she could hear them, Haerin would answer them with no... but she couldn't.
She laid there on some kind of mat in the back room of the stage.
"Keep the boys in a separate room from her and Yoongi," someone directed.
There was nodding, and people left the room, leaving a man; the manager, and a woman; a staff member.
With a gentle hand, the staff woman bent down and caressed Haerin's head, lifting it up slightly. She tapped her cheekbone gently, signalling and checking for her to wake up.
The once unconscious girl opened her eyes, adjusting to the lighting of the room.
"Wh-" she tried to speak, but could not hear her own voice.
Her head hurt.
Sitting up in panic, Haerin moved away from the woman next to her, and repeatedly asked 'Where am I?', 'What happened?', 'Who are you?', anxiety increasing every time she spoke and couldn't hear herself.
The woman reached for her hands, and calmingly mouthed, "It's okay."
Haerin still moved away, and stood up taking steps further back from the woman and man in the room.
Suddenly, the manager held up a notebook to her, which had large writing on one page that wrote.
'Don't panic, Haerin, we are here to help you.'
She slightly relaxed, and took a small step towards them.
The manager handed the notebook and pen to the staff woman.
She started writing, and then handed the book to Haerin.
'The concert ended an hour ago.'
'But you collapsed 15 minutes before it was set to finish.'
'We took you here backstage.'
'We got your name from your friend and ticket.'
'Don't worry, she's alright and at home.'Haerin looked up at her, confused, then took the book and started writing.
'Why am I not at a hospital?'
The staff woman held the book back, and replied.
'Because you don't need to be there.'
'You need to be here.'Haerin wrote on the page next.
'Why?'
'Isn't there something wrong with me?'She gave the notebook to the woman. Why weren't they telling her anything? Don't they know how confused she is? With pleading eyes she tried to say her loudest, "What happened?!"
The manager and staff woman quickly ran over and put a hand over her mouth, pressing a finger to her own lips to silence Haerin.
Manager took the notebook from the woman and started writing.
'Please, you need to be quiet.'
'For the good of you and your soulmate.'"What?" Haerin asked, still unable to hear herself.
'We are still figuring that out, but please keep your voice low.' He wrote next.
Haerin was so lost... yet she just nodded.
She did not know those people, nor what what was happening to her. She knew she was backstage... at least that was what the two people in front of her told her.
