She rolled her eyes, "Why do you care?" and scoffed quietly, then stood to leave without another glance.
"Hey!" Yoongi said loud enough for her to hear.
Haerin turned, ignoring the pain she felt in her head, already tired of trying to argue with him.
He wrote then handed her a note.
'I can't hear but I can still read your lips.'
'Don't be rude.'
Haerin read the note, and after reading the last few words, her eyes widened and she crumpled it in disbelief.
How could he tell her not to be rude? She wasn't the one who started the hate first. She wasn't the one throwing insults first. She wasn't the one to start the fights first. It was always him.
"You know what? I'm not even going to try to argue with you anymore!" She made herself say loud enough for him to hear, and faced him so he could read her lips, clearly, "The only reason I even agreed to stay here was to get my hearing back and cure my hurting head. Not because of you, not because I wanted to stay at the dorm and be the boasting fangirl you all probably think I am and don't trust, but because I wanted all of this to be over. And because our, no my situation is so difficult, I am TRYING to cope going through all of this by myself and dealing with YOUR rudeness without me trying to be rude back, because I guess that's what a person like me does; fights fire with fire." she stopped, and waited for a response.
Maybe she indirectly offended him too much, and Yoongi replied, "Well I guess I fight fire with fire too. But you know, I've tried to be nice to you recently?"
She scoffed, shaking her head, "That's only because you pity me. The moment you heard me crying and remembered I'm the same fragile soulmate you've heard all your life, you went straight back to being the probably lovesick guy you were before you met me, wanting to know more about his mysterious other half."
"Haerin," Hoseok reached out and tried to calm her.
"No," she took a step back from the group, "What would you know? What would you all know?!" she faced Yoongi, "I've told you before," she took a deep breath, "I could never hear-"
'What's going on here?'
A notebook with the words suddenly separated the two, and Manager was there holding it up.
Before any of the two could answer, Namjoon spoke, which was inaudible to them, "They were just discussing something."
"You mean fighting? I could hear them from the front door," he said.
The leader nodded and stepped back.
'What do you think you two are doing? It's only been a few minutes since we got back from the meeting and a few hours since the appointment.'
Neither of them replied.
'I thought I told both of you to sort things out yesterday, which you clearly didn't.'
'It does not take so much effort to at least try to get to know one another. You only met yesterday and somehow can't get along.'
'Have you both ever even called each other by name? Written and said?'
The two looked at each other, speechless in realisation.
It was true, neither of them had ever called each other by name the entire two days spent together.
Haerin had even called other members by name, but not Yoongi.
It was somewhat embarrassing, being told off for not being able to get along with someone, much less your soulmate, just after a day after meeting.
'Well then, I guess that means I have to make you speak to each other.'
They were too fed up with each other to groan in protest.
'You two were in the small studio for a while last night. Go again.'
'I want you to speak this time. If you want, write down what you're going to say and say it aloud as you both read it.'
'You should schedule when you want to do it. Tomorrow or tonight would be good since a lot of news had been broken to you today already.'
Yoongi and Haerin turned to each other, an expression like, 'Seriously? I have to spend more time with you?'
'Remember to take it slow. Dr Rhee said that your bond-hearing is sensitive until you get your regular hearing back, so you can only speak to each other in Regular Speech or lower, otherwise if you go any louder, it will be harder to regain your hearing, and your headaches will worsen.'
