Her eyes widened.

He heard that?

Oh, so he was only being nice because he pitied me.

Then she remembered; even though she didn't really believe it, he was still somewhat her soulmate, but she had been so used to thinking she never had one to not keep in mind that whenever she cried, someone could hear her.

Though, something in his note confused her, how could he hear anything else besides her?

It was just like the night before when he could slightly hear the keyboard.

There was a knock on the doorframe and Yoongi looked up, followed by Haerin who followed his gaze.

'Hello.'

It was written on an A4 sized notebook, held by a middle-aged woman.

She entered the room, and took a seat opposite on the couch across the coffee table on the spinny chair, and manager sat on the couch's arm rest.

'I'm Dr Rhee.'

The two nodded, hands folded in laps.

'Are you soulmates?'

"Yes,"

"I don't know,"

Yoongi and Haerin turned to each other, unsure of what they both said.

Dr Rhee then flipped the page, and wrote.

'Alright.'

'Well, I heard that you both lost your hearing.'

They both nodded again, and Yoongi started writing on his own notes.

'I gained some of my hearing last night.'

'Not a lot, I can only hear things when there is no other disrupting sound.'

The doctor nodded, then wrote in her book.

'Okay.'

'How about your heads, are they hurting?'

Yoongi and Haerin nodded in anticipation, waiting for her to tell them she was there to get rid of it.

'Are you two comfortable with each other?'

'Do you argue?'

Before any of them could reply, manager started to speak to the doctor explaining something, and she made a o.o face then nodded in understanding.

Of course, Yoongi nor Haerin could hear it.

"After losing your hearing, have any of you been shouting or yelling?'

"Yes," they both replied.

The doctor continued to write.

'Okay...'

'Don't do that.'

"What?!" the two exclaimed, and just like when they stupidly said the same thing to Namjoon, they felt a piercing pain in their heads and winced.

Dr Rhee sighed.

'For that exact reason.'

'You have to stop yelling, especially at each other, or your headaches will worsen and it'll be harder to get your regular hearing back.'

Yoongi and Haerin nodded, looking at each other before turning back to the doctor to see what she would write next.

'Yesterday, both of you collapsed at a concert, then lost your hearing, am I right?'

They nodded.

'You had a microphone, and you were crying?'

She asked, referring to when Yoongi was on stage and Haerin getting emotional.

The other day, Haerin had to tell manager what she was doing before she fainted.

Yoongi turned to Haerin, raising his brows, "You were crying too?"

Even though she couldn't hear, or tried to read his lips when he said it, she replied, "Yes."

A tap on her knee made both of them turn back to Dr Rhee.

Her page looked like a whole essay.

'Both of you were crying, one had a microphone, you were in the same place, and exceptionally closer to each other than ever before I may add.'

'The two of you must've been very emotional at the time for similar reasons. The combination of all these circumstances would have made it extremely loud to both of your minds when you heard each other. It was also too much to handle, therefore you collapsed. Because it was so loud, it affected your usual hearing, but only affecting your bonding one slightly. This means that your bond is very strong, stronger than most.'

So we really are soulmates, Haerin thought.

But that doesn't make sense, I could never hear Yoongi before.

Yoongi and manager still read on, focused unlike her.

Haerin had not told manager about her never being able to hear Yoongi. She knew they were going to go to see specialists and book quite a few appointments, so she'd save telling her problems and taking in so much new information until then. Plus, a statement like 'How come I have never heard my soulmate before?' seemed crazy and unexplainable, and Yoongi's reaction when she told her was evident. Anyway, it was all good now that they could hear each other now...

Had Yoongi told anyone that she said she couldn't hear him?

'You said that you could hear better after last night?'

'What was happening at the time?'

Dr Rhee showed the page to Yoongi.

"Nothing much, she just played the keyboard and sang," he said.

'Sang? For how long?'

Haerin cleared her throat, "About three minutes."

'That's good, but unusual. Your healing process is quicker than most.'

'Anyway, that is the treatment to get your hearing back; you must hear each other's voices in person.'
