"The best bridge between despair and hope is a good night's sleep." -E. Joseph Cossman
Isabella's POV
The sound of the pilot's voice announcing we had landed over the intercom is what woke me up. I along with the other passengers got up and tried to get off the plane as quickly as possible. I quickly made my way to where Kacy told me to go after landing. I waited looking around for the driver that was supposed to come get me.
While waiting for the driver, my thoughts were keeping me company. Will they like me? Do I have any siblings? Are they nice people? Are they rich? The answer to my last question I just answered by myself. Of course, they're rich. I came here in a first-class seat, and they have a driver to pick me up.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I hear a voice.
"Excuse me, but are you miss Isabella Romano?" I look up to see a kind looking man who looks to be in his 40s. I nod my head at his question. "I'm the driver that Mr. Romano assigned to pick you up." He says with a kind smile. I stand up and go to grab my luggage, but the driver grabs it before I can.
"I can carry for you Miss Romano." The driver says. On the way to the car, I realized I haven't asked for his name yet. I'm a little nervous to ask but since he seems kind, he probably won't get mad.
"C-can I ask y-y-you a question please" I say starting to look down at my shoes.
"Of course, you can miss," the driver states. "What's your name?" I ask while slowly bringing my attention away from my shoes. "Oh, I'm sorry I forgot to tell you my name is David Simpson." The dri-no David replies.
I smile at his kindness. We finally make it to the car and start the drive to my new home in a comfortable silence. I feel myself starting to doze off but try to stay awake. I guess David must have noticed because then he starts talking.
"You can go to sleep miss it's still an hour and 45-minute drive to the Romano residence. With that to reassure me I let the darkness take over.
