My finger tapped impatiently against my work book with my eyes continuously sneaking a glance at my phone, my heart sunk every time at the blank phone. No message from Carter, not to mention i hadn't seen him all morning and guilt over last night with stupid Chase being an ass. I wanted to apologise but he hadn't responded to my apology text last night nor had I seen him at school. The thought crossed my mind that he hated me and the thought of that was horrible.

"Liv" I nearly jumped from my seat when Julie startled me.

"Jeez what's going on with you? You have spent the entire class watching your phone as if there is going to be a life or death call" well in a way it was, I just gave her a small smile.

"So your still going to Perry's tonight?" Disappointment lingering in her tone.

"I don't know" I frowned because I was supposed to be going with Carter but I hadn't heard or seen him since last night and I was growing agitated. A glimpse of hope filling her delicate face.

"Well I am still going to the Lake tonight with the boys and your more than welcome to join I mean who wants to go to a silly Willow party" she laughed playfully but I wanted to go !

"Plus well be with Chase and all his boys so won't have any problems with anyone realising we are Willow students" I suddenly glared at her.

"Of course Chase will be there I most defintly will not be attending that party" I spat in anger folding my arms across my chest tightly.

"Woah calm down Liv what's with the sudden hate for your step brother?"

"If you must know he was a complete and out of line jerk to Carter last night and now I haven't heard or seen Carter all morning" my eyes flickered back over my silent phone.

"Carter was at your house again last night?" She pursed.

"Yeah" a slight blush crossing my face.

"Why is he all of a sudden popping up at your house when he knows you live with Chase and they are complete rivals?" She questioned making me roll my eyes.

"Are you taking Chases side over your best friend did you not hear me?" I didn't mean to come across bitchy but that's how it came out. Noticing her shocked face I felt bad for snapping.

"Sorry Jules" I apologetically began but she cut me off.

"He's making you crazy Liv your not yourself maybe space from Carter is what you need" with that she turned her attention back to the teacher leaving me speechless.

How could I deny it the more I sat in silence being ignored by Julie the morse I realised I was acting insane but for no reason and it was making me go crazy. But then again it's not everyday a nobody like me steals the attention away from pretty, popular girls And it was making me feel worth something. Especially when the guy showering you with attention was Carter Wesley. Maybe I should just go to the lake with Julie because I'm sure she would appreciate that I mean I miss hanging out with my best friend. Yes I was going to do that. But as quick as the bell rang signalling class over she bolted from the room leaving me to quickly shove my books into my bag. I ran out of class to Chase her down because I knew what class she had now but as the students packed the halls making it near impossible to catch her I was suddenly stopped by someone blocking my way.

"Olivia" he smiled softly catching me off guard.

"Carter" I choked out awkwardly.

"So tonight I'll pick you up at 8?" He raised his eyebrow in a handsome way making him irresistible that my vocabulary left my brain. He stared at me awaiting an answer as my mind fell blank. What was I even doing? I couldn't think.
