Chapter Thirteen - Mr Perfect

This mornings ride to school with dad flew by quickly as the entire morning i was glued to my phone exchanging messages with Carter. I was still in disbelief that we were actually texting each other and over the course of the late night texts with him i was able to get to know things about him i had no idea. But the main thing was he was once again officially single, but the question was how long before him and Amber got back together. I wasnt going to lie i was a little afraid of texting him because even when him and Amber are broken up she still thinks Carters her's and that no other girl can attempt to have him.

"Thanks Dad" i beamed at him realising we were at school.

"Your welcome also i have a gift for you when you get home" i blinked in confusion.

"Something to look forward too, enjoy school kiddo" with that i gave another smile wondering what he could possibly surprise me with but the excitment of seeing Carter had me rushing away towards the lockers.

"Liv" Jules voice blossomed the corridor as i spun around grinning at her.

"Morning" i chimed back racing to her and embracing her in a hug.

"Woah someone is happy today" she giggled as we walked linked arm in arm along the halls.

"Well something like that" i couldn't wipe the grin off my face.

"Im taking it has something to do with Carter?" she asked with a raised brow.

"Maybe" i opened my locker hiding my blush as i put away my books.

"So spill what happened with the texts?"  she nudged me playfully.

"Nothing much" i wasn't used to texting boys and the fact now i was and Julie was asking me about it i didnt know how to go about it.

"Liar"

"Well he's single" i couldnt help that piece of information blurting out.

"You sure?" i felt her eyes drift off into the distance, my eyes following as Carters car had just pulled up and of course Amber was chatting in the same spot she did every morning as she raced over to him throwing her arms around him. He didn't stop the hug but hugged her back, were the honestly back on again i swear last night he was single. I felt slightly humiliated by the scene unfolding before my eyes. 

"Well i guess he lied" i felt my throat clog up and irritation run through me.

"Remember it is Carter Wesley we are talking about and as soon as that boys single he flirts and beds a range of girls before settling back with Amber" she was trying to put it politely but i was sour by what she was saying. I slammed my locker with a little more force than needed as she watched me almost amused. I turned back to look back over to Carter who was now walking with his boys towards their lockers on the far side of the corridor as he walked so effortlessly i found myself being drawn into a familiar day dream. 

"Earth to Liv" Julie breaking me from my trance as i remembered i was angry.

"What" i snapped back angrily.

"You just done a complete 360 and over Carter, Liv what did you expect" she reminded softly.

"I am heading off to class, ill text you" with that she left me and my grumpy mood behind as i let out a sigh, she was right the way he was making me feel was turning me bi-polar. As i strutted off in the opposite way from Carter i slwoly pushed past the masses of students gathering my thoughts as my phone went off. Was probably Julie telling me to take a chill pill or something humourous like that as i pulled it out.
