Carter's car warmed nicely as he turned the music blaring from the speakers down bringing us to an eerie silence.

"You don't need to drop me off home seriously it's too much to ask and way out of the way, plus you should be with your team celebrating" I blurted feeling Ike a complete burden. He lightly smiled glancing to me briefly.

"It's not really a celebration that team never stood a chance against us. I'll celebrate when we beat Sterling" I couldn't help but think of Chase and his team for a brief second.

"Plus I'm not leaving you in the cold at night all by yourself" my mind wandered back to how sweet he was being. Who knew he had such a nice side, away from his typical persona I thought him to be.

"Thank you again I can give you gas money" I assured him still feeling the need to give him something for driving me instead of spending a evening with his team. A small chuckle emerged from him.

"I don't want your money Olivia" he glanced briefly at me making me wonder what he did want I mean this was too nice for him to do for no reason.

"Then what do you want?" I couldn't help but let that blurt out, I wish it hadn't as his face scrunched in confusion.

"What makes you think i want something from you?" Good one Liv.

"I didn't mean it like that, sorry. Thank you again" I mumbled out choking on my words. I remained silent as Carter didn't make a sound. We remained silent for most of the ride making this quite possibly the most awkward moment I had experienced with Carter. I wanted to talk to him but I didn't know what to say.

"This is your house?" His words breaking my silent daze as I glanced out the window noticing it was in fact my Dads house. Wow that went quick. Now regret set in as I wished is had said something now.

"Yeah it's my Dad's house" I spoke softly as he pulled in front of the house entrance killing the engine on the car.

"Whoa nice house" he seemed in awe of it.

"My Dad's pride and joy" I lightly joked as I finally got a small smile from Carter.

"Well thank you again" I smiled lightly undoing my seatbelt. I glanced up to Carter whose eyes were sternly watching me with his signature smirk plastered on his face and he was about to say something before a bang on my side of the window. I shuddered in a fright as did Carter as our eyes broke to Elizabeth standing there tapping on the window. What on earth was she doing. I opened my door to her as she looked a sigh of relief.

"There you are me and your father were slightly worried about you. He got the text that you were getting a ride home from school but it's 8pm your father was worried" she smiled to Carter.

"Did you not get our texts or calls?" Worry still visible in her voice. I shook my head remembering I had switched my phone to silent. Checking it seeing the bombards of messages.

"But your here safe, your father will be relieved. Anywho sorry and you are ?" Her focus turning to Carter sitting there seeming amused.

"Carter" he politely responded extending his arm across as it brushed over me as they shook hands. This wasn't awkward.

"Lovely to meet you I'm Elizabeth" a more radiant smile crossing her face.

"Would you like to come in for a drink I just made a batch of baking" her voice trailed as I was surprised by her reaction to the fact I was late home and being dropped off by a boy. And now she was inviting him into her house. Awkward.

"I'm sure he has to go". As it was true.

"Actually that would be nice" he spoke surprising me even more. I turned to him trying to decipher him but he still smirked and threw me a slight wink.
