I sleepily made my way downstairs as it was super early and I needed caffeine if I was going to be able to function today. I poured me a cup sipping it down as I needed energy to get me through all these early morning 1 hour drives. I sat on the stool while I buttered my toast and started knocking that back.

"Wow your up early" I was startled by the voice as he chuckled noticing my terror.

"You almost gave me a heart attack" I responded calming myself down as I noticed Chase standing there in track pants and a hoodie. Seems he was an early bird too.

"Luckily I know CPR" He mused as he walked over to the empty stool as my gaze followed him closely. I had forgotten how beautiful this guy was, a buff, tall, tan, fit, hottie with a chiselled defined face which was flawless. And his latest comment left me speechless.

"Nice choice" he didn't hesitate as he took a piece of toast and happily munched away on it as if it was his, leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

"Hey that was mine" I frowned pulling the plate away from him.

"Well as siblings now sharing is caring" he teased but it hit me again with the words coming from his mouth, remember Liv he is your step brother.

"I don't mind sharing as long as I offer" I responded glancing away from him.

"So why are you up so early?" I asked as he went over to the fridge.

"I need to hit the gym before school" he turned around giving a lazy smile.

"That's dedication to a sport"

"Well if you want to be the best you need to train it dosnt come easily" he took the seat next to me. I still didn't understand all the hype over football.

"But still this is insane I swear I never see you because you train" I mumbled with a yawn.

"Aww you know how to make someone feel loved, are you missing me already?" the tease filtering the air as I quickly nodded.

"No I didn't mean it like that" I was quick to protest.

"I know im just teasing, its just since my knee injury I need to get back into shape in time for our match against your school" That's right the infamous match that they held and this year was going to be at Sterling. The only reason for all the tension with the two schools.

"Your knee?" I looked down to his knee.

"Yeah I fractured it a few months ago" he looked deep in thought.

"Well at least I know something about you now" I admitted with a small smile.

"That's true and I still don't know a lot about you, besides the fact you go to your precious little Willow" he mocked making me glare at his tone.

"We have a strong team this year you will have a run for your money, plus Carter is captain" I mocked back. I saw his face tense just by the name.

"Hmm so he finally got Captain" he sounded like he knew him.

"You know Carter?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah I know of him, I wouldn't say me and him were the best of friends" he smiled digging into some fruit salad, so healthy!

"Well from what I have seen he's a good player and with your knee you better tread lightly with him" I pushed up from the chair.

"Your leaving me already I felt like we were just getting to know each other" the teasing smirk still lingering on his face.

"Unlike you I have to get prepared for a one hour drive" I placed my plate and mug in the sink and with that I left Chase sitting at the table. I felt bad as we were having quiet a nice conversation but I had to get ready.
