Ch 6

Andys POV

I watch over my beautiful Ember while she's still sleeping. I was told that today she will be able to go home. "Finally"I think to myself, shes been in this hospital for a week. I can't wait to take her home...well back to the tour bus. I imagine her laying with me in my bunk wrapped up in my arms, a smile tugs on the corners of my mouth. "oh Ember..." I sigh in my head, "what are you doing to me ?"

I plant a small kiss on her forehead and her eyes slowly flutter open, blinking heavily a few times as she adjusts to the bright lights of her hospital room.

"Andy?"

"yes dear?" I question. Her face brightening up a bit at my affectionate words. "uhm when can we leave?" she asks with a quiet voice.

"We can go now, I've already got everything ready to go" I say.

Embers POV

After signing my discharge papers, Andy and await the arrival of his tour bus. There is silence between us, not an awkward silence but one of comfort. I notice him stare at me every now and then out of the corner of my eye. I wonder what he's thinking.

"Thank you Andy" I say breaking the silence. He looks at me a little confused.

"Thank you?" he repeats "For what?"

"y-you saved my life."

His expression hardens. I'm not sure if what he's feeling is anger or sadness or what.

"I wouldn't of had to save your life if I used my common sense that day. I shouldn't have let you go back there..." he trails off.

"Andy why do you blame yourself? You didn't put me in danger." I say. I can't believe he thinks my fathers actions are his fault.

His eyes look a deep blue, laced with what looks like guilt. "I may not have put you in danger but I let you walk right into it"

I try to object but the tour bus pulls up, and a shouting CC halts our conversation.

"EMBER!" he screams while throwing open the bus door.

"Hey CC" I smile, laughing a little at his enthusiasm.

Andy takes my hand and guides me on the bus, shutting the door behind me. Looking around I notice the bus Is empty except for us and CC.

"CC" Andy yells? " dude wheres the rest of the band?"

"They went out for drinks, they'll be back later probably" CC explains. "As for me tho, Im going to visit an old friend of mine since were stopped in Texas." with that he exited the bus, leaving Andy and I alone.

A new silence grows but this time theres an awkward tension due to earlier's conversation.

I think Andy senses my uneasiness, pulling me into a hug. I look up to his now calm baby blue eyes. They show an emotion I've never seen before. Affection maybe? All I know is no ones ever looked at me like this. I feel a blush rise to my cheeks and I look away hoping he Wong notice, but I know he saw due to the smirk on his face.

"Why do you do that?" he asks

"Do what?"

"Look away or hide your face when I look at you" he says.

"oh I-well uh I-" I stammer, my words jumbling together, blushing a deeper shade of pink. I hear him lightly chuckle as he brings my chin up so our eyes meet.

"You're adorable"
