Chapter 7 - Thorny Friendship

My hands stopped moving. I think I've been staring at my notes for quite a time now. I am not progressing at all.

It's been three weeks since school started. Everyone got too busy with school activities. Even I was focused in archery.

But it seems most of us had forgotten that we are studying here in Rakuzan. Every students nightmare will commence before golden week.

Exams!

It's not term exam, but monthly exam that Rakuzan has. Every month we have that kind of exams.

Anyways, what should I do? I am good in Math, but if it's combined with Science, I can't just get the what the problem is! Also, why do we need to start Physics for branch of Science?! Should we start with Biology?! We're only first year! Also, the sample problems given by sensei, the difficulty was entirely different in this practice exam from last year. But then again... this is Rakuzan. I adjusted my lunch this week so I can study here in the library just to prepare for our exam this coming Friday, so I can prepare more for the district tournament after... but I am not progressing at all...

"I know the formula of Instantaneous Velocity. But why do they need to make things complicated?!" I groaned as I slumped my face on the table. I give up. I'll ask sensei later, or Rie-chan.

This is the worst!

"You need to find the interval of time then the speed. You need to plot them out as well in a graph to visualize what's going on with the problem"

I immediately sat down and my eyes widened seeing this red-haired guy, looking at me

"GEH! AKAS-" but he covered my mouth, and I remembered that we are in the library. He removed his hand then sat down next to me "what are you doing here, Akashi?" I asked in low voice

"Who knows? I wonder why a student like me doing in the library." He looked at me and he is stern as ever "Probably eating lunch?"

He is pissing me off!

"You sure are annoying! I got it, I got it! You are here to study! I am asking why do you still need to be here when you are smart already." I sighed and just shoved that silly question of mine

"I need to bring back the books I borrowed, then saw someone internally shouting from a single question she can't answer"

"Leave me alone. I am good with Math, but not with Science. And if Math and Science are combined, it doesn't make sense to me anymore. Leave me alone!"

"Condolence"

I looked at him in disbelief and my energy is depleting.

"Why are you even here? Can you just leave me alone in peace?"

But he didn't response, instead he got my notes and started scribbling- no, he highlighted words and numbers

"You need to get the time interval first using these datas. Understanding the next line, you would notice that the needed speed isn't given as well."

"Ah, you are right. I am using the given speed" I responded, realizing the mistake I had been doing. I tried solving the problem, and he was teaching me step by step.

It was easy to understand.
I was able to answer it correctly as well!

After answering couple of problems, in which I was able to understand them, well thanks to Akashi's explanation, I felt satisfied.

"It's easy to understand. Thank you Akashi! I was in the verge of asking sensei about this" I looked at him and chuckled "but well, that solved my problem. Thank you!" As I said that, I finally realized the situation I am in. I now felt multiple glares around me. I was so focus solving the problems that I didn't notice them at all
