Your mouth opened and closed as you looked between Billy and his mother. She forced Gale towards you as Gale stayed near the edge of the stage. The woman's eyes landed on Billy for a moment as she studied him.

Gale scrunched her face as she looked at her. "What?...Billy's Mom? It...It can't be. I've seen those pictures of you hundreds of times."

Stu grimaced with head tilt. "Ehh, 60 pounds and a lot of work later…You look good though, Mrs. Loomis! Like seriously, you could be Billy's sister!" He saved his ass with his hands up.

Gale turned to Stu with an extremely confused face. You could tell she was trying to place him but couldn't put her finger on it. Debbie didn't seem to recognize Stu either as she darted her eyes back to Gale.

"It's called a makeover. You should try it. You're looking a little tired yourself there, Gale." She gave with a mocking tone as she tossed her coat off her shoulders into the seats. She wore a cream colored dress suit and a badge that read "Debbie Salt".

Stu and you exchanged worried glances before looking over at Billy. Billy's eyes never left her. His face looked like a vulnerable child that was scared they had lost their mom forever. It was so surreal to see Billy like that...You didn't know what to think.

Billy stepped forward and Debbie raised the gun at him. "Ah, ah, ah! Don't come any closer."

Billy's eyebrows shot up. "Mom...Mom, it's...It's me!" He fumbled, voice cracking as he held his hands up.

She sneered at him. "One more step and I'll shoot! I don't appreciate someone impersonating my deceased son."

"Mom, It's Billy...I am your son!"

Her eyes widened as she barely lowered the gun to stare at him before jerking it back up to his face. "Liar. My son is dead!"

He came towards her once again.  Using a soft tone you never heard before as he coaxed her to lower her weapon. "No…No, no, no. Me and Stu survived the fire by going out a back door...I am Billy Loomis. Mom...It's really me."

Stu grimaced and raised a hand. "H-Hey Mrs. Loomis...Uh, you look good! And uh...The murdering thing is new. Like mother like son I guess...It's Stu Macher, by the way." He gave a nervous chuckle as Debbie's face fell.

Her mouth dropped as she finally recognized them both. "Oh my God…" A jagged breath escaped her as she looked back at Billy. Free hand trembling to cover her mouth in shock as he gave her a hopeful smile.

Gale's face dropped as well before lighting up in opportunistic glee. "Holy fucking shit...I knew it! I FUCKING KNEW IT!! YN wasn't nuts! GOD, When I'm right, I'm right!!"

You shot her a dirty look as she continued.

"This is going to be the scoop of a fucking lifetime-"

"I don't think so, Miss Weathers." Debbie told her as she raised the gun up.

Everyone jumped. You and Stu yelped as a gunshot rang out. Debbie aimed the gun and shot Gale off the stage. Already near the edge and that shot had her losing her balance, tumbling off. You grasped both sides of your head out of instinct at the sound. Your body trembled no matter how much you tried to stay calm. Looking back up you saw Stu looking just as apprehensive as you felt.

Billy flinched, staring at his Mom. Looking between the gun and her. "...Mom?"

Debbie stared at him a moment before she lowered the gun as tears formed in her eyes. Billy stayed put for a moment; taken aback by what his Mom just did. Debbie shook her head as the tears fell. You saw Billy struggling as well, his Adam's apple bobbing as he tried to hold it together.
