"Mari.." I say hesitantly but she is snarling. Her body is vibrating in anger, "What the fuck is this bitch doing here?"

"Now, now, is that any way for you to talk to your mate?" The prisoner says with a malicious smile.

"You're no fucking mate of mine!" She snarls at her again. She lunges for her but I stop her. "Ren, if you don't get out of my way I'm going to do something I regret."

"Mari, I know you want to kill her. You'll get your chance for that. We get no information if you kill her right now." I say and she stops struggling against me.

"I want to kill her. I need to kill her." She mumbles to me, her eyes glued to the prisoner.

"I know, Mari. Believe me, I know." I whisper while pleading with her to calm down. She stares into my eyes and all of the sudden I see something in her snap. I brace myself for her to fight me but instead she collapses in my arms. Sobs are racking her body and I rub her back trying to soothe her.

"Why?" She yells at our prisoner through her tears.

"Because, mate," she spits out, "I wanted something you couldn't give me."

"Don't call me mate! Mates don't do what you did! You killed my brother!" She snarls and leaps up. She's once again ready for blood.

"ENOUGH!!" I yell and everyone stops. Amarah backs away from the prisoner with a murderous look in her eye.

"Luna," she says venomously, "We both know that doesn't work on me." She pauses for a moment and her eyes sparkle with delight, "It never did."

With that Echo let's out a powerful, murderous growl that has both Amarah and the prisoner submitting to me.

"Wipe the fucking smirk off your face, Tali." I snarl and she immediately complies.

"Fuck" she mutters, "This is not good."

"It's not good that you are forced to submit? You thought you were above it? More powerful. I hate to break it to you, but you're not and you never will be." I say and Amarah mumbles, "Pathetic, weak, disgrace of a wolf."

She looks up at us and smirks, "I'm more powerful than you know."

"Not powerful enough." I say smirking back to her. She snarls and yanks at her chains. "Now, now, Tali."

"Why are you here?" I ask her and her eyes light up.

"My mate, of course." She says with an evil smile.

"You're not my mate!" Mari yells.

"Not you, stupid wolf." She snarls at Amarah.

"Then who is your mate?" I question her.

She gives me her widest smile, "Lucien."

"Oh hell no!" Echo snarls and pushes to the surface.

"You will not lay another hand on one of my mates." Echo says dangerously to Tali as she slowly approaches her.

"Ren!" Amarah yells and I feel my head snap back to her. She sees Echo is in full control and she panics, "Please!"

"A minute ago you wanted her dead, now you're protecting her, make up your mind!" Echo yells as she continues stalking her prey.

"Lucien is mine." Tali growls. Echo punches her in the face, "No."

"He is! I'm sure the Goddess told you about me." She says happily.

"You aren't her. You're not that,Tali." I snarl at her. She laughs, "How can you be so sure?"
