"Mommy! Mommy! Can you tell us a bedtime story??" my sweet 4 year old girl asks me.
"Yeah! Mommy! Pretty please!" my dramatic 4 year old boy cries.
"Of course, my babies! Go brush your teeth and clean up for bed. Then I will tell you a story" I reply chuckling at my goofy twins.
The twins scramble up and quickly rush to the bathroom. They look so much like their father. A dark brown skin tone, black hair, and his deep chocolate brown eyes.
"Mommy!!!!!" The twins cry rushing into the room.
They jump into their beds and get under the covers. My daughter reaches for Echo while my son reaches for Zeke, their stuffed wolves.Smiling at my beautiful babies, I settle myself on the chair between their beds. "What story would you like to hear??" I ask them.
"Can you tell us the one about Grandma and Grandpa?" My son asks smiling.
"Nooooooo!" My daughter whines. "I want to hear about mommy and daddy!"
My son pouts. You can see the wheels turning in his head before his eyes light up. "Okay! BUT next story time is about Grandma and Grandpa AND we have to play all the games I want for a week!"
"Okay fine!" My daughter responds pouting. Clutching her stuffed wolf tightly to her chest.
"Okay babies. I'll tell you the story of me and your father" I whisper to them. Thinking back all those years ago and it feels as if I was just there yesterday.

I wake up to a soft tapping on my bedroom door.
I stretch my body while letting out a groan before sitting up and rubbing my eyes."Come in mom!" I shout.
"Ahhhh. Good morning sleeping beauty! Did you sleep well?" My mother asks flashing me a bright smile.
My mother is beautiful. She has curly blonde hair that she keeps relatively short. Her skin is sun kissed and she has the most vibrant blue eyes.
"Yes Mom I slept fine" I grumble still trying to wake up. "What has you so chipper this morning?"
My mother gasps, making my eyes snap up in her direction. "What?" I ask.
"IO MARREN WILDER!! How dare you forget about the Mate Ball that's being held today??" My mom screeches at me.
"Riiiiiight" I say rolling my eyes. "You calling me Ren would have sufficed Mom. You didn't have to yell my full name."
I've always hated the name Io. I was named after a moon. A werewolf named after a moon. Seriously? What were my parents thinking?
"I gave you that name and I will use it anytime I want!" She growls at me.
"Hey hey! Woman calm down! I just don't like the irony is all and you know it!"
Chuckling she says, "I know honey. One day I hope you'll learn to appreciate the beautiful name I gave you."
I let out a sigh. "Mom, one day I'm sure I will." I say smiling back at her.
"Okay, okay! Come down for breakfast and then we will have to start getting ready!" Mom says excitedly before leaving the room.
Getting out of bed I stumble downstairs wearing my "Friday is my second favorite "F" word" shirt that my Dad's mom helped me to pick out.
My parents are a weird exception for the werewolf world. My parents were forced to mate to produce heirs for the pack. Neither of them had found their mates so it seemed as that was the best option. My parents cared deeply for each other and had 4 children. Gabriel, Orion, myself, and Ares. At Orion's first mate ball the unexpected happened. Both of my parents found their true mates. My parents broke their bond so that they could each be with their true mates.
