Chapter 15

Y/n Pov

It turned out that Iida was being used to advertise Hatsume's gadgets and she accidently stepped out of bounds. That's just crazy to think about. The other matches flew by. The winners being Tokoyami, Kirishima and Ashido. Now was Bakugo and Uraraka's battle. Izuku tried to give her advice but she already had a plan. 'Yes. Girl power.'

'This is a battle I want to watch. But I feel like I already know the winner.' I thought with a unnoticeable frown on my face.

The battle began and Uraraka ran towards Bakugo. Bakugo sent a blast was sent her way. She ran at him again but this time she's closer to the ground and her hand closer to the ground, basically touching it. 'Ah I see what she's doing. She's touching the broken pieces of the field and activating her quirk. Her running and the dust cloud, Bakugo is more focused on her rather that the floating debris.' A small smile appears on my face, 'Clever girl'

Bakugo continued to blast away Uraraka. Some people started booing at Bakugo's behavior. One even made a comment but Mr Aizawa was a badass and told him off. Finally something different happened in the battle. Uraraka used her tracksuit top as a distraction but Present Mic just had to point it out and exposed her. 'That man is going to annoy me to a whole new level.' My face just showed annoyance in that moment in time. Uraraka was finally to use her final attack and switched off her quirk. As all the debris started falling she ran towards Bakugo. Bakugo noticed the attack and pointed his hand upwards and setting off a giant blast, destroying all the broken pieces before Uraraka could get to him. Uraraka was at her limit without a doubt but she was determined to win but before she could do anything else, she passed out.

Bakugo was declared the winner and Uraraka was taken to Recovery girl. Izu and Iida went to check on her while I stayed in my place, thinking. 'Bakugo is smart and powerful for his age without proper training. However he relies too much on his quirk. So fast close combat would work nicely against him.' I looked towards the field. 

'Next battle was Izuku and Todoroki. Todoroki is definitely more powerful than Izu however he refuses to use his right side which could give Izu a chance. But knowing Izuku he'll try to get him to use it. Which I think would be a stupid idea but I can't change that boy's mind. I'm afraid he'll get seriously hurt because he doesn't have full control and hurts himself all the time.' I sighed, knowing I have no control of this match.

Izuku and Todoroki stand on either side of the field. Todoroki glared at Izu. Flag gone down. Todoroki sent a wave of ice towards Izuku. Izuku retaliated by breaking a finger which sent a massive attack that breaks the ice. This continued until all Izu's fingers are broken.

'Everyone is probably thinking that just because all his fingers are broken. Clearly they don't know him.' My face turned smug.

I broke out of my thoughts when I heard Izu yelling, "It's your quirk, not his." There it is. The part of the battle that'll cost him his win. Todoroki burst into flames. Both of them going for their final attack. Midnight realized that this attack could injure them severely and asked Cementos to create wall between them to try stop it. A massive blast was created and the dust slowly started to clear up. Todoroki was standing in the ring while Izu was knocked out against the wall. I jumped over the balcony just in time to catch him from falling to the ground. 

"And Todoroki wins." Midnight said while everyone was still in shock.

I picked up Izu's body and carried him to Recovery girl.

I place him on the medical bed and rubbed his head, "You did well Izu. I'm so proud." I said to his unconscious form.

Iida and I were looking at each other. 'Iida's strength is speed. So I either become faster than him or use it against him. Without a doubt I'll be able to end the battle quickly. So I guess speed against speed.' I thought as I watched him think. 'There's most likely a chance he'll use his ultimate to get the battle done so just gotta dodge then kick him I guess.'

The match started and just like I predicted he used his power move. I quickly jumped to the side and the moment he stopped I kicked him out the ring.

"Wow. That must've been the fastest battle so far. Winner is Y/n Zoldyck. She is on fire today." Present Mic commented.

I walked to Iida, "Heh I didn't think anyone would be able to dodge that." I have a small chuckle, "Most wouldn't. We'll say I'm a special case."

We shook hands and went our separate ways. While I was heading to the waiting room since I didn't really wanna watch the other matches until it was my turn. I overheard a conversation Iida was having over the phone. It's about his brother. He's in the hospital because he was attacked by the Hero killer: Stain. Once he was done I walked passed him, stopping right next to him, "Here's a word of advice. Revenge will only give you guilt and despair. Nothing good comes out of it." I told him and continued walking.

Time skip

After a while it was finally time for my second last match of this festival. Todoroki looked conflicted. "Hey. Don't do anything you don't want to do." I yelled to him. He nodded and prepared himself. When we were both ready Midnight gave the signal. Todoroki sent a wave of ice my way. I jumped and landed on the newly produced ice. I used this to my advantage to get to him quicker. He shot another wave and I jumped to dodge it again. I arrived right in front of him. Probably out of instinct he burst into flames. I jumped back to prevent myself from getting burnt by the sudden action. 'Ah I didn't expect this. It seems I have to be faster than his instincts.'

I decided to use one of the banned moves and created multiple versions of myself while I walked around him. He looked  at each version, trying to figure out the real one. Before he can think about hitting all of them at once, I jumped behind him and hit hid neck, knocking him out.

"Sorry Todoroki but I can't lose." 

I left the arena.

Now I just have to wait for Bakugo to finish match then it's game on.

Time skip

Bakugo won his match as expected. We both went to the arena, where the winner shall be determined.

I stared at Bakugo as we stand on opposite sides of the field. My only goal is to put him in his place. To show him that he has a long way before he can call himself the number 1 hero.

We waited for Midnight to signal that the match has started.

The moment the flag went down Bakugo sent a blast my way. I immediately dodged without an issue. 'I won't use my nen to show how far he needs to go. Besides the way he is now won't stand a chance against me.' I thought as I continued to dodge his attacks. I used my speed to get behind him. It took him a minute to realize I was behind him but it was too late. I delivered a strong kick but not strong enough to knock him out of bounds.

He got up with an angry look on his face. He sent a massive blast my way and I jumped to dodge it. I had a smirk on my face, amused by his expression.

"Why won't you use your quirk?" He yelled. My face turned serious.

I ran to him with incredible speed and appeared right in front of him, with my face right by his ear.

"I'll use it when I deem you're strong enough to face me." I whispered and punched him in the gut, sending him out of the ring.

Everyone was quiet for a moment until Present Mic announced, "And the winner of this match and the festival is Y/n Zoldyck!"

Everyone erupted in cheers.

I walked over to his not-so-beaten up body. He had a seriously angry face.

I bent down to his level, looking at him. "You don't know true strength and training until you've been through what I've been through." I said, just loud enough for him to hear.

"You say you want to become the number one hero. Then prove it. Get stronger. Get stronger to be able to beat me without a problem. That way you know that you have the strength to beat every villain you come across and save those in need. Show me what you can do. I'll be waiting for you." I told him with a serious face.

I get up and walk away, leaving Bakugo to think to himself.
