Chapter 14

Sorry that I haven't been updating. I kinda lost some motivation from some of the comments made so I decided to take a quick break. But now I shall try my best to update as much as possible. Also I'm kinda a bit lazy to watch all the episodes so some of them will be off memory and not so accurate.

Now on with the story.

Y/n POV

After the break that was given to us to regain our energy, we all met up in the ring once again and awaited the instructions for the next part of the festival. 

"Hey N/n. What do you think the next challenge will be?" Asked Izu. I looked at him then looked back at the stage.

"I don't know but I hope it's something in which I get to kick Bakugo's ass." I answered his question.

'That boy needs to know his place that's for sure.' I thought with a small frown on my face. 'He would actually be a great hero if his ego wasn't so big.'

Suddenly a bracket with all of our names showed up. 'Ah I see 1 vs 1 battles. This is my chance.' I quickly glanced towards Bakugo. 'Thank goodness we're not in the same bracket. I want him to build up for the last battle.'

"The next and final event of the sports festival will be a 1 on 1 battle. Here is the list of who you are fighting. Please prepare." Midnight informed us.

Before we can start Ojiro put up his hand, "I'd like to drop out."

"What? Why?" Izuku asked.

"As much as I'd like to continue, I don't remember what happened during the cavalry battle."

Another guy did the same thing. It's our former teammates. 'Ah I see. They're doing it for their pride.' I thought as I nodded. 

Midnight allowed it and changed the brackets.

I search for my name. I'm against Kaminari. 'As much as I love this boy, I'm pretty sure he's not gonna think this through.' I sweatdropped.

I search for Izuku's name. He's against my teammate in the previous round, Shinso Hitoshi. 'That is going to be an interesting battle.' I saw that Bakugo was going up against Uraraka. 'That's going to be even more interesting.'

We all made our way to our respective stands to observe the upcoming battles.

I didn't really care for most of them. Just Izu's since he is my best friend and I don't really know much about everyone else except for Bakugo. Just to see how he's going to approach the battles.

Izuku's battle is the first one.

Izu and Shinso stand on either side of the field, for the signal.

The moment that the signal was made is the time that Shinso started talking, trying to get Izu to respond. I'm not one to cheer but I hope Izu and Shinso knows that I'm rooting for them.

Izu responded to one of Shinso's questions or statements. I don't know which one since I can't hear them. He was immediately brainwashed.

"That idiot. I told him not to respond." I heard Ojiro speak aloud. I sighed and continued to watch. Izu was being forced out of the ring but just before he can step out of the ring, his finger suddenly lit up and created a blast. This knocked him out of his brainwashed state but ended up with a broken finger. He started running towards Shinso while Shinso tries to get him to respond once again. Izuku threw Shinso over his shoulder and out of the ring. Izu was declared the winner of this match. Shinso spoke to Izu for a little while before leaving the field.

I left the stands to congratulate Izu for his win. I bump into Shinso on the way.

"You did well Shinso." I said to him.

He was kind of surprised that I spoke to him, "What? Did you think I wouldn't talk to you because of your quirk?  I know you wouldn't use your quirk unless you need to." I told him.

"I wish other people thought like that. They just kept calling me a villain because of my quirk." He mumbled while rubbing the back of his neck but I still heard him.

"You're only a villain if you use your quirk for evil acts." I looked away from him, "Trust me. That's a road you don't want to take." I walked off to look for Izu. I can feel Shinso's confused gaze on me.

After a little while I found Izu by Recovery girl getting his finger patched up.

"Congrats for your win Izu. I'm happy for you." Izuku jumped at my sudden appearance.

"Ah thank you N/n. I was so close to losing though." 

"That's right. How did you break from it?"

"I saw what could be the previous users of One For All shadows and maybe they helped me. I'm not quite sure."

"Ah I see. Your quirk is really weird. but hey what can you do?" I smiled at him. He gave me a small smile back. 

"Oh I should get ready. Knowing Todoroki, he's probably finished by now." 

I left Izu to get ready for my battle which would probably be a very quick one.

I met Kaminari on the field. He gave me a cheeky smile and said, "If I win this then you'll go on a date with me."

I smirked at him, "Sure Casanova." 

Midnight gave the signal and Kaminari yelled, "One million volts!" as electricity was shot towards me. And as usual I dodge by jumping. From that attack caused Kaminari to short circuit. I go up to him and hit the back of his neck, knocking him out.

"And the winner is Y/n Zoldyck." Announced Present Mic. Everyone cheered once again.

I gave everyone a smile and walked off the field. 'I wonder who I'm versing next. Hatsume or Iida?'
