Royalties: One Shot Writing Contest

Rules and Criteria

RULES:

1.) The contestants MUST be a member of WATTPAD ROYALTIES (WRITERS AND READERS) and BLACK HEAD DRAGON ACADEMY (BHDA). To be able to join our contests, join our group in facebook.

2.) You can use any genre you want as long as you are following the THEME of the contest.

Official theme is 'Family Problems'. You can use Fantasy, Romance, Mystery/Thiller, RomCom, Action, Werewolf, Spiritual and any other genres as long as the theme is there.

3.) Entry should not be less than 500 words and not more than 5000 words.

4.) Submit your entries through facebook to False Siaboc WP, Akira WP and Dan Gilbert Belleza via PM using this format:

Entry title:

Genre chosen:

Wattpad username:

And attach the docx. or txt. file with it. Or you can copy-paste the text.

Example:

Title: Guns and Dragons

Genre Chosen: Fantasy

Wattpad Username: iammeakira20

5.) STRICTLY NO EMOTICONS. Write as formally as you can.

6.) You cannot comment on your own entry but you can vote and ask your friends to vote for it, too.

Failure to follow the rules stated above will be automatically disqualified.

Late submissions will have a 5% deduction on their average scores from the judges.

Example:

Entry #1 has a total average score of 90.

90 * .05 (5%) = 4.5

90 - 4.5 = 85.5

Therefore, Entry #1's final score will be 85.5

Excess of number of words are given a 7-10% deduction on their average scores from the judges. (Same rule with the late submissions)

CRITERIA:

Plot - 40%

Uniqueness - 15%

Technicality - 10%

Adherence to the given theme - 25%

Reader's Impact - 10%

For a total of 100%
